Student answer (Band 6.0)

We do not longer need to have animals keep in zoos, so zoos should be closed. I completely agree with this given notion. The narrative ahead shall articulate justification for my belief before arriving at rational conclusion

To begin with the reason to support my argument, animals and birds can live their lives freely without any human interaction. This is because, in wild areas those species are safe and no other individual can not annoy and harm them, so those animals can spend more time with their family. As a result, it can be beneficial for those animals and ecosystem as well, also it could be easy to spread their species rapidly. To cite an example, many of animal species grew from extinct to high numbers

Furthermore, modern technology helps people to learn about animals such as virtual documentaries and internet. this is because, students can learn easily through internet without any animal disturbance. Thus, there is almost no need to keep animals in cage and animals have rights to live in jungle. For instance, many of Indian veterinary courses tech to students virtually without hurting any animal and use dummy models for practical teaching

To sum up, taking the above mentioned reasons into consideration. I restate my agreement it is very helpful for animals as well as nature to balance in wilds rather than zoos and it can help some animals to recover from extinct and also it is the right for animals to lives in jungle not in cage and students should learn virtually without any disturbance

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of closing zoos. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the benefits of wild habitats and the availability of virtual learning, the arguments lack depth and specific evidence. For instance, the claim that 'many of animal species grew from extinct to high numbers' is vague and lacks factual support. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples that directly link to the core of the argument, such as the ethical implications of captivity or the specific role of conservation programs versus the educational value of zoos.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'To sum up' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'The narrative ahead shall articulate justification'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and some sentences are disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the flow and coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'easy', and 'harm'. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'no other individual can not annoy' (a double negative that confuses the meaning) and 'balance in wilds'. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'biodiversity', 'conservation', 'natural habitat', or 'ethical considerations', and ensure that words are used in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'We do not longer need to have animals keep in zoos' (incorrect verb form), 'no other individual can not annoy' (double negative), and 'many of Indian veterinary courses tech to students' (spelling and grammar errors). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and sentence boundaries. To improve, focus on mastering subject-verb agreement, correct verb tense usage, and reducing the frequency of basic grammatical slips.
