Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, Animals have not Imprisonment in zoos. Because people are busy in their own life and they cannot got time to spend for family. Also modern children have their own mobile phones or gadgets, were they can watch different animals online. But I completely disagree with that Zoo should be closed.

To begin with, We cannot more require to preserved wild animals in zoo. The primary reason of this is we live in Technology era. Everyone can use social media and everyone busy in scrolling reels. They don't have time to plan a trip to zoo on weekend or week day due to busy schedule. For instance, I provide our own example. Form last 2 weeks my younger sibling request me to go for zoo but I was busy in my office work. Therefore we can say that we no longer wants to have animals kept in zoos.

On the other hand, we can demands more zoos and parks with multiple different animals like (Elephant, Giraffe and Lion) that children wants to see more in their life. Moreover including me, I wants to see Pandas one in my life. Although zoos plays vital role in person memory. For clear illustration of this, I still remembers that when I was young, me and my family went to Lahore zoo where I saw Elephant first time in my life and I enjoy a lot by Camel riding. That's why we really need zoos to built remarkable memory for bad/ critical time.

In conclusion, I strongly disagree that we no longer need to have animals kept in zoos, so zoos should be closed. This is due to because zoo built prodigious memory in our mind where we see many animals first time in our whole life and memorable time that we spent with our family. In the foreseeable future, I hope that people can extract time from their harsh life routine and spent time with their family in different public places like zoos, parks etc.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is inconsistent and occasionally contradictory. In the first two paragraphs, you argue that zoos are unnecessary because of technology and busy lifestyles, yet you conclude by strongly disagreeing with the closure of zoos. This internal contradiction makes your position confusing. While you provide personal examples, such as your experience at the Lahore zoo, the arguments lack depth and logical consistency. To improve, ensure your main arguments are clearly stated in the introduction and consistently supported throughout the body paragraphs without contradicting your own stance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently disrupted by confusing transitions and contradictory statements. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', their usage is often mechanical or misused. For example, the transition 'On the other hand' is used to introduce a point that actually supports your final conclusion, rather than contrasting with the previous paragraph. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. Improving the logical connection between sentences and paragraphs is essential for a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'cannot got time', 'Technology era', and 'extract time from their harsh life routine'. Some phrases are used incorrectly, such as 'we cannot more require to preserved', which hinders clarity. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'prodigious' and 'foreseeable future', these are often used in contexts that feel unnatural. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form and appropriate context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'zoos plays', 'I wants', 'zoo built'), verb tense (e.g., 'I still remembers'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'Because people are busy in their own life and they cannot got time'). The use of articles and prepositions is also frequently inaccurate. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, they are often grammatically flawed. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage, before attempting more complex structures.
