Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is undeniable that wildlife creatures play a pivotal role in biodiversity. Some believe that animals should not admitted in zoos . As a result, zoos should be closed. I firmly disagree with this statement, I will discuus my views in upcoming paragraph before reaching a conclusion.
On the one hand, zoos are an essential destination of each and every tourist. It not also prospective for falicitation but also for valuable knowledge. To extent this point, in zoos numerous types of animals are stored and thier natural habitate as well as thier overall views are noted, so that individuals, especially younger genration get to know about rich culture of wild-life. Furthermore, wild-life scencturies share considerable employment opportunities and help to foster country's economic develpoment. For instant, country such as South Africa, generate sustainable amount of income from wild-life scenturies which attracts millions of tourist and create stable employment.
On the other hand, people who believe that animals should no longer need to keep in zoos, many wild animals including lions, tigers, and cheetas will may became exticnt and enhnace climate change. Because, in zoos they are treated with arificial medicine, if wild animals are restricted from thier natural habitation, they may loose thier skills such as prey than life cycle of bio-diversty will loose as it doest not encourage fossil fule prodcution, which leads to negative impact for entire universe. Moreover, many wild-creature are becoming endagered because they are restricted beyond boundries and it discaourage the population of that, therefore, animals should not be kept behind bars.
In my opinion, zoos are perfect picinc spot of educational institutions as well as explores, I believe that, some species are essentail for eco-friendly environments and plays a greater role in life-cycles.
In concusion, although, zoos encourage employment opprotuinites and nations GDP rate, its natural habitates and responsibile for continuity of various life-cycle are highly benefical for cleaner, healthier and safer life span for each and every creatures of universe.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly taking a stance against the closure of zoos and supporting this with arguments concerning education, economic development, and conservation. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and uneven. In the body paragraphs, some arguments are repetitive or lack clear logical elaboration, such as the confusing assertions linking zoos to fossil fuel production and climate change. Furthermore, the position is sometimes clouded by tangential thoughts. Despite these weaknesses in extension and clarity, all parts of the prompt are addressed, placing the response comfortably within the Band 5 to 6 range. It earns a 6 for presenting a relevant and identifiable overall stance with supporting ideas, even though some points remain under-developed or unclear.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with standard paragraphing, dividing the introduction, two body paragraphs, a brief personal opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. The student relies on repetitive transitional phrases like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' (misapplied in the third paragraph to represent a continuation of supporting ideas rather than an opposing view). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and pronoun ambiguity ('it', 'they') obscures relationships between ideas. Logical progression within paragraphs is disrupted by jarring shifts in thought, such as the sudden pivot to fossil fuels in paragraph three. These issues prevent the response from achieving a higher band, aligning it with Band 5 due to inadequate or inaccurate use of cohesive devices and lack of smooth progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'biodiversity', 'preservation' (intended as prospective), and 'endangered'. However, there are frequent errors in word choice, spelling, and collocation throughout the text. Examples include 'wildlife creatures', 'admitted in zoos', 'falicitation', 'habilate', 'scencturies', 'exticnt', 'arificial', and 'opprotuinites'. Many of these misspellings and imprecise word choices stem from phonetic spelling attempts. While these errors are noticeable and occasionally require the reader to slow down, they do not entirely impede communication, as the general meaning remains recoverable. This balance of an adequate range mixed with noticeable inaccuracies firmly reflects the Band 5 descriptors for lexical resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional structures. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, featuring frequent errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('wild animals... will may became exticnt'), incorrect modal verb pairings ('will may became'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('animals should no longer need to keep in zoos'). Punctuation is also problematic, marked by comma splices and run-on sentences, such as 'I firmly disagree with this statement, I will discuus my views...'. Because attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty and errors are dense enough to disrupt smooth reading, the writing aligns best with the Band 5 descriptors.
