Student answer (Band 5.5)
We no longer need to have animals kept in zoos, so zoosa should be closed. I totally disagree with the statement as there is already in the shortge of wild animals in the world so preserving them in a better substised environment will help the people et connected to the nature. Moreover, closing zoos will need animals to release that cause damages to the society.
In there global era, it has seen that there is a huge shortage of wild animals in the world, there are several resons to that, so it is totally a bad idea to close the zoos because they are the only place left for the people who love wild life and animal to intract with them. For example, Panda, now a days is barely seen naturally. This is the reason most of the countries preserve them in a subsdised zoos so that their further generation will be saved and continue to grow. Also there is all lot of videos where it is seen that peeople loves to feed them and they are very friendly with the humans. So closing zoos will definatly has a bad impact.
Another reason not to close the zoos is to save or prevent the humans with severe wild animals. If they are left freely they can easily harm humans that leads to be a difficulty for us to live. Fore example, if a wild tiger is released from zoos to the jungle, it may attack the human living place in search of food which is seen in the past and cause severe damage to the humans.
So closing zoos is totally a bad idea as it helps the decreasing numbers of rare animal to be preserved and give them a better life but also saves the society from wild animals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly taking a stand against closing zoos, supporting this position with two main arguments: species preservation and public safety regarding wild animals. The ideas are relevant and generally developed, though some supporting points tend to be somewhat simplistic or over-generalized, such as the claim that zoos are the only place left to interact with wildlife or that released animals would directly threaten human living spaces. For instance, the mention of pandas and the reference to wild tigers attacking human areas provide some context, but these examples lack specific depth. Nevertheless, all parts of the task are addressed and a clear position is maintained throughout, fitting the Band 6 descriptor well.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. For example, transitional phrases like 'In there global era' and 'Fore example' contain typographical and spelling errors that disrupt the flow. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrasing 'that cause damages to the society' where the pronoun antecedent is imprecise. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, but the logical progression between sentences within paragraphs sometimes feels disjointed due to awkward linking devices.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common terms such as 'subsidised', 'preservation', and 'interact'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice errors that detract from precision, including 'zoosa', 'shortge', 'substdised', 'definatly', and 'peeople'. Collocations are occasionally unnatural, such as 'substised environment' or 'severe wild animals'. While these errors do not completely impede communication because the overall meaning remains transparent, they prevent the lexical score from reaching higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some attempt at subordination and relative clauses (e.g., 'zoos so that their further generation will be saved and continue to grow'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding article use ('in the shortge', 'a all lot of'), subject-verb agreement ('that cause damages', 'peeople loves'), and prepositional choices ('et connected to the nature', 'prevent the humans with'). Punctuation is also erratic in places. These errors occur across many sentences, though they rarely impede overall comprehension, placing the response firmly at Band 5.
