Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response responds to the task only minimally and tangentially. Although the writer attempts to take a position by stating "I disagree with the statement," the ideas presented are extremely limited and under-developed. The arguments rely heavily on repetitive, vague statements about whether people visit zoos or have free time, such as "many people do not visted to the animals zoos and the some importants works and do not free in the house." The connection between having free time, house responsibilities, and the necessity of zoos is unclear and difficult to follow, reflecting a minimal engagement with the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
Information and ideas are not arranged coherently in this response. While the writer attempts to structure the essay with basic paragraphing (an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion), the internal organization within paragraphs lacks logical progression. Sentences are disjointed and often repeat the same phrases without advancing the argument. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, relying on repetitive transitions like "Firstly," "Secondly," and "and the" which create a mechanical and confusing flow that impedes the reader's understanding.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and highly repetitive, employing a very limited range of words and phrases throughout the text. There are frequent lexical errors in word form, spelling, and word choice that severely strain the reader. Examples include spelling errors like "Nowdays," "disagerr," "nesserys," "responcibilty," "reasins," and "eassy." Additionally, word choices are inappropriate or misused, such as "animals zoos," "important role in the protecting," and awkward phrases like "do not free in the house," which demonstrate a lack of control over standard lexical patterns.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The grammatical range is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentence structures that are frequently marred by basic errors. Errors in grammar are frequent and often distort meaning. There are pervasive issues with article usage ("a animals," "the zoos"), subject-verb agreement ("zoos shoulds be closed," "There have a two reasins"), verb forms ("do not visted"), and prepositions. Punctuation is also poorly handled, with fragmented clauses and incorrect capitalisation. These persistent errors create significant difficulty for the reader in parsing the intended meaning of sentences.
