Student answer (Band 5.5)
Every creatures in this world have rights to leave free. so i strongly believe that all the animals should be free and all the zoos should be shut. In the upcoming paragraphs I will discuss all my points with relevant instances.
The first and foremost reason behind that animal may become physical and mental weak in zoo. There is a lot of studies have conducted that animal are stressed to live in small place. To addition that animals could not get empty and green spaces for roaming. Most of the occasions animals kept single in small cages, which mayaffect their mental health.Secondly, animals can't live in zoo biologically. Moreover, its in there nature that they have to hunt for their food and water. and we have observed that animals they have loose biological body size so they look weak and smaller as compared to 100 years ago.
Last but not the least there are high chance of exploitation in zoos by visitors and zoos's administration. Due to visitors overcrowed which makes kot of noise arround animals. and we have seen some visitors are try to distrub animals by taking their photos pelting to the stones and offred unwanted food. so indirectly it call exploitation of animal for human grid.
also most of the cases animals and their childreans are separated in the zoo or send somewhere else.
However, the knowledge of every animal is necessary for our upcoming generation and young generation so for the kids it can be a very unique experience and benefically for their cognitive function and it can bring more affection towards animal from humans.
To conclude, I strongly agree that zoo should be closed, however, zoos can bring connection between humans and animal.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you strongly support closing zoos. You give relevant reasons, including animals’ restricted living conditions, possible stress, and mistreatment by visitors, and you acknowledge the counterargument that zoos can educate children. This addresses the main parts of the question. However, some points are asserted rather than explained or supported: for example, the claim that animals’ bodies have become smaller over time needs a clear example or evidence, and the discussion of separating animals from their young is brief. The educational benefit is also only briefly recognised before you return to your position. Develop these ideas with specific examples and explain more fully why your reasons justify closure.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, paragraphs presenting reasons, a counterpoint, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “To conclude” help signal the direction of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several claims are joined abruptly, and some linking expressions are inaccurate or mechanical. For instance, “To addition that” does not clearly connect the point about space, while the shift to educational benefits begins with “However” without fully explaining how this counterargument relates to your position. Improve paragraph unity by grouping related ideas and using clear references and transitions; make the relationship between each reason and your conclusion explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “mental health,” “biologically,” “exploitation,” and “cognitive function,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the argument harder to understand. Examples include “leave free,” “empty and green spaces,” “overcrowed,” and “human grid”; the intended meanings are not always clear. There is also repetition of basic terms such as “animals” and “zoo.” Build a more precise vocabulary for animal welfare and conservation, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Choosing natural collocations will make your ideas clearer and more convincing without requiring unnecessarily complicated language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “small cages, which may affect their mental health” and a concession beginning “However.” Nevertheless, errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “Every creatures … have rights” has an agreement problem, and “There is a lot of studies have conducted” combines incompatible structures. Several sentences also begin with lowercase “so” or “and,” and punctuation is missing between ideas. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and review subject–verb agreement and article use. Careful proofreading for sentence boundaries would improve accuracy and readability.
