Student answer (Band 5.0)
In my thoughts Zoo is most popular holiday destinations in Asian countries in the 2000 century. In our region of this world the most of the people are going to the zoo to see the animals and mck them for their entertainment. The middleclass familky spent the weekend with their family in the zoo. I alsao go to the zoo in my early child hood, but after being adult i thing animal should not keep in the zoo for peoples entertainmant. Thew animals also have the rights to live freely to eith wild life for balkancing the natiral balance in the food cycle. In the early days of the business revulution the western worls started thr culture for the entertainment for the people for makling money. But todays mordern world we dont need the Zoo because we can now ulderstand the resons and we can stand up for the animals. Zoo shyould be closed but the safart park should be open for the chiundlren because we need the saw our future generation the life of the animal in wild and teach thenm the lesson what charectaristics the animals are surviving with. The most of the people of the world now aware of thr animals that zoo owners are the most richest people and they no longer neet the money making thing by the animal of thw wild. I saw the zoo in dhaka bangladesh they are verry good with the animals fooding but they are not able to care of medicxation they just ignore it. The animals are the asset of the nature and we ruins the natuires most beauty ful creation by our entertainment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a clear overall position against keeping animals in zoos, especially when you write that animals “should not keep in the zoo” and that zoos “should be closed.” You also give relevant reasons: animals’ freedom and welfare, the purpose of wildlife parks, and your observation of animal care in Dhaka. However, the response addresses the issue only partly because several points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the link between animals’ freedom and “balancing the natural balance in the food cycle” is unclear, and the claim about zoo owners’ wealth is not connected convincingly to closure. Develop two or three reasons with specific explanation or examples, and clarify how wildlife parks differ from zoos.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a recognisable line of thought: you begin with people’s reasons for visiting zoos, move to your changed view, and then argue for closure while allowing wildlife parks. This gives the response some organisation. However, ideas are not arranged coherently enough, and the single long paragraph makes the progression difficult to follow. Several points appear abruptly, such as the history of the “business revolution,” the claim about zoo owners’ wealth, and the Dhaka example. Linking words and references are also limited, so relationships between claims are sometimes unclear. Use separate paragraphs for your position, supporting reasons, and conclusion, and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “entertainment,” “wild life,” “food cycle,” “medication,” and “future generation.” These choices show an effort to discuss animal welfare and conservation, but the range is limited and many spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “mck them,” “natiral balance,” “safart park,” and “the animals fooding.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “the asset of the nature” and “the most popular holiday destinations.” Build a more accurate set of topic vocabulary and check spelling carefully. Prefer clear, natural expressions over ambitious wording when you are unsure of a phrase.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate a basic position and attempt to join ideas in longer sentences, for example, “The animals also have the rights to live freely…” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors in sentence formation, verb forms, articles, and agreement occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to follow. For instance, “the most of the people are going” has an incorrect determiner pattern, while “the middleclass familky spent the weekend with their family” has unclear number and agreement. The sentence beginning “Zoo should be closed but…” also contains several clauses without clear grammatical control. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking subject–verb agreement and article use.
