Student answer (Band 5.0)
Zoos should be closed, because we no longer need to have animals kept in zoos.
Yes I do agree with this statement, because of several reasons. The main reason of this is poor mangement of zoos by goverment and caretakers of the zoos. The animals which are kept in the zoos are rare and of very high value. But goverment applies no strick rules for the care of such animals. On the other hand the care takers of zoos do not give their best in care of such animals. As, a results of this they become ill and eventually died.
I remember when i was child there was a zoo near our home town. That was a very big and famous zoo. I was use to went there with my parents. In that zoo very rare animals and unique birds were kept. But with the passage of time due to bad mamngement many animals become ill, and unfortunately some rare animals died. Because of this people stop going their and that zoo become dead.
Secondly, the persons who take care of such animals do not have much knowledge about taht animals. That is the reason due to which they can not give their best for care of animals and birds which are kept in the zoos. Once there was a white tiger in one of zoos in pakistan, but due to bad luck that died and now there is no white tiger in pakistan anymore. When we cannot take care of animals in zoo and we no longer need to kept animals in zoos, So, should be closed and that place should be used for some other purposes.
As earlier I mentioned about a zoo near our home town that become closed and a park is constructed there only in a corner there are some national birds are kept. Now that place again become busy.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the opening and closing: you agree that zoos should close, and you give relevant reasons involving poor animal care and inadequate expertise. The examples of the zoo near your hometown and the white tiger in Pakistan help make the discussion personal and specific. However, the response addresses the task only partially because it largely assumes that poor management is typical and does not explain why zoos are no longer needed or consider their possible conservation or educational roles. Some claims, such as the assertion that there is no white tiger in Pakistan anymore, need clearer support. Develop each reason with explanation and evidence, and connect the examples more directly to why closure is the best solution.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it begins with your opinion, presents reasons in separate paragraphs, and returns to the hometown zoo in the conclusion. Basic links such as “Secondly,” “On the other hand,” and “As a result” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is not consistently clear. The hometown example is introduced, then repeated in the final paragraph without a distinct concluding argument, while several sentences repeat the point that caretakers provide poor care. Some linking phrases are awkward or do not show the relationship accurately, and references such as “that” in “that died” are unclear. Give each paragraph one main purpose, use clearer references, and end with a concise summary of the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “rare animals,” “caretakers,” “management,” and “national birds.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “care,” “animals,” and “zoos.” Noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the reader pause, for example “mangement,” “strick,” “mamngement,” and “persons who take care of such animals.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “give their best in care” and “that zoo become dead.” Build a wider set of precise expressions for animal welfare and conservation, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More accurate vocabulary would make your reasons clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “when,” but the range is limited and complex sentences are often inaccurate. Errors in verb forms and tense are frequent: “I was use to went there,” “many animals become ill,” and “that zoo become closed” need corrected forms. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence construction, as in “in one of zoos” and “So, should be closed.” Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, including the comma splice in “statement, because.” These errors can make parts of the account difficult to follow. Practise accurate past-tense narration and complete sentence patterns, then proofread for articles, agreement, and punctuation.
