Student answer (Band 5.5)
In current era we should no longer encage animals in zoos, so zoos should be closed . I strongly agree with this statement, as animal also have right to live in a place which nature had fixed for them such as forest.
On the onehand, closing zoo can be beneficial in a way that government need funds to run a zoo, and these funds can be invested in making animals life good. There are a lot of animals who are in danger to be extinct in future and many nations does not seen to have a positive attitude toward this problem, so if the same money which is accounted for the zoo, is invested in betterment of these species, their will be a chance for them to surive in future. For example: white beer in northern of pakistan, these animal species doesnot have the environment suitabe for them, and their are many needs which is required for there survival, but government do not have enough money to save their future species.
On the otherhand, Zoos is not what the most people think of it, entertainment. Every animal should have right to life their pure life in a jungle or in a open environenmet. So fredom of animal habitat is an other reason that why zoos should be closed. For an instance if we think about a survey held between 2019 and 2021 which illustrates that physology of animals mind that animal do not like to be imprissoned special study was done on panda who suffered from disease when living in a small corner inside the zoo.
From my prespective, zoo also play an important role in providing education, but animal imprisonment is not the neccesory thing government should initiate projects which support the concept of open zoo, where people visit in cars with family, just like the zoo in japan where animals rights are also proritized.
In concluding this view, I largely agree that zoo should be close at with the passage of time their are some other important issues in our society which require fundings, and also these money can be help in saving the future of manyendangered species.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction (“I strongly agree”) and remains broadly consistent in the conclusion. You address the central issue through animal welfare, conservation funding and education, and the suggestion of open zoos adds a relevant qualification rather than simply repeating your view. These features show that you cover the task and provide relevant reasons. However, some support is unclear or insufficiently explained: the example of the “white beer” does not clearly show how closing zoos would help the species, and the survey and panda example need more precise explanation or reliable context. The point that zoos provide education is also acknowledged but not fully weighed against your argument. Develop each example and connect it explicitly to your position to make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two main paragraphs, a qualification about education and open zoos, and a conclusion. The progression from funding and conservation to animal freedom is generally understandable, and phrases such as “On the other hand” help signal a shift. However, the paragraphing and linking are not always effective. “On the onehand” and “On the otherhand” are used awkwardly, and the education point appears in a separate paragraph without a clear transition from the preceding argument. Some references, such as “these money” and “this problem,” are unclear, while several long sentences combine multiple ideas. Use clearer topic sentences, make pronoun references explicit, and organise each paragraph around one developed reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “endangered species,” “animal imprisonment,” “habitat,” and “prioritized,” and you try to express ideas about conservation and animal welfare. However, the range and control are limited by frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices that sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “encage,” “surive,” “white beer,” “physology,” and “imprissoned”; “white bear” may be intended, but the species and example need to be named accurately. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “pure life” and “future species.” Build a reliable set of topic-specific collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you express your ideas without relying on vague or awkward phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, complex sentences, for example the sentence beginning “There are a lot of animals who are in danger…” This shows some range, and your main position is usually understandable. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries can make parts difficult to read. For instance, “government need funds” requires a plural verb or an article, “many nations does not” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “animal also have right” is missing appropriate articles and plural marking. The sentence about the survey and panda is especially difficult to follow because its clauses are not clearly connected. Practise accurate sentence patterns first, then use complex clauses with clear punctuation and consistent agreement.
