Student answer (Band 5.5)

disagree

1 zoos provide food and neessary things

2 medical treatment

3 harmful for humans

In recent years, zoos provide a various facilities to the animals ,but some groups of individuals believe that we should not keep animals in zoos for a long time and also it will be closed in the future, but I strogly disagree with this statement and I will discuss in the upcoming paragraphs.

There are a multiple reasons of keep an animals in the zoos. The first main reason is zoos provide a facilities to the animals. In other words, zoos provide a artificial ,but a natural habitate to the wild animals such as caves.where animals can easily live there. Additinally, zoos give safety and healthy food for the animals because it is not possible in the out of zoos as per my opinion. Also, animals can receive a food at time to time and they don't have to struggle for the hunt rather than zoos provide a healthy food such as meat and all so it is beneficial for them.

Moreover, zoos give medical treatment to the injured animals so as a result, they can live a better life in the zoo. Also, if zoos should be closed in the future, all the wild animals can come in cities or a villages.Consequently,it is very harmful or dangerous for the human. So, as per my perspective zoos are the best option for the wild animals.

In conclusion, zoos provide a various basic facilities to the animals such as habitate, food and medical treatment , these all things are the beneficial for the animals. As per my opinion, Zoos are the best place for the animals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you disagree with closing zoos. You give relevant reasons, including food and shelter, medical care, and the possibility of wild animals entering populated areas. These points address the question, but they are not developed equally. The discussion of food and shelter includes examples, while the medical-care point is only briefly stated, and the claim that animals would enter cities if zoos closed needs explanation or evidence. To strengthen the response, explain how zoos contribute to animal welfare or conservation and support each main reason with a specific example. This would make your argument more fully developed and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas generally progress from facilities and food to medical treatment and human safety. Linking expressions such as “In other words,” “Moreover” and “Consequently” help show relationships between points. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear: “Also” is repeated, and “if zoos should be closed” does not clearly express the intended conditional relationship. The numbered notes at the beginning also sit outside the essay’s structure. Remove these notes and use clearer links between each reason and its explanation. More precise referencing would help readers follow how each point supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “medical treatment,” “wild animals,” “safety” and “healthy food,” so the main ideas are understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling and collocation errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “a various facilities,” “a artificial,” “habitate,” and “at time to time.” The repeated use of “provide,” “animals” and “beneficial” also limits variety. Build a more accurate set of topic-specific expressions, such as “provide veterinary care,” “natural habitat” and “access to a reliable food supply.” Check spelling and whether nouns are countable, and choose collocations that sound natural in formal academic writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast in “I strongly disagree … and I will discuss…” and a result structure beginning “Consequently.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and punctuation reduce accuracy. For example, “There are a multiple reasons” has an incorrect determiner, while “zoos provide a facilities” has a number-agreement problem. The opening sentence also joins several ideas with commas, making its structure difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly attached supporting clause, and check articles and singular/plural forms. Careful punctuation and sentence boundaries will make your argument easier to read.
