Student answer (Band 5.5)
In my perception, zoos shall remained open for protecting the animals that are about to extinguish.
The jungles, forests contain a lot of animals due to natural process cycle of environment. However all the animals are neither provided food nor shelter in jungle which is crucial for their survival. Zoo is like an animal care centre.Animals are guranteed to givethe benefits of food, shelter beside other maintainings inside the zoo.
There are distinct animals in a forests and all of them creates a bio-diversity.Such creation is essential to maintain nature .But the inferioty and superioty among the animals is the barrier. The animals which are inferior to mostly animals are about to extinct due to dominance of superiors. It concerns an international issue of animal distinguishment.
Moeover, the rarest animals in the jungle is not valued or produced safeguard for it's breeding. This oppurtunity only can be organised by zoo authorities.Even the motive of creation of zoo is to rescue animals from places that are detrimental for them.Though the current practice of zoo does not seem they are able to fulfill their objectives because animals are not getting enough facilities inside the zoo.The behaviour of zoo staffs towards the animals are not pleasant. They often torture the animals.A lo of news, media has covered such news of animal abusement inside the zoo. Prior to such news most of the government has taken necessary steps to control the management of zoo.
Nowadays, every country has a fixed revenue for their national and ther local zoos after all animals are the wealth of a country.Furthermore, the appointment procedure of zoo workers has changed now trained and skilled persons are being hired. There's a check and balance in the zoo management system.Hence, zoos shall be declared as safe animal home rather than closing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you disagree with closing zoos, and the conclusion reinforces this by arguing they should be “declared as safe animal home.” You give relevant reasons, including protection, food and shelter, breeding rare animals, and improved funding and staffing. This addresses the task, but the support is uneven. The claim that some animals lack food or shelter in the wild is broad, and the point about “inferiority and superiority” is difficult to understand and is not explained with a specific example. You also acknowledge abuse and inadequate facilities, but could weigh these concerns more directly against your reasons for keeping zoos open. Develop fewer points with clearer explanations and examples to make the argument more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: it introduces your position, presents several supporting points, acknowledges problems in zoos, and ends with a conclusion. Paragraphs generally group related ideas, and connectors such as “However,” “Furthermore,” and “Hence” help signal relationships. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, the discussion moves from biodiversity to animal dominance and then to an “international issue” without clearly showing how these points connect to the argument about closing zoos. Some transitions, including “Moreover” and “Even,” feel mechanical, while references such as “such news” are vague. Use clearer topic sentences and explain the link between each supporting point and your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “bio-diversity,” “detrimental,” “breeding,” and “management,” and the reader can generally understand your main position. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make meaning unclear or unnatural. Examples include “extinguish” for animals becoming extinct, “inferioty,” “superioty,” “distinguishment,” and “abusement.” Several phrases are also awkward, such as “guaranteed to give the benefits” and “a fixed revenue for their national and their local zoos.” These issues limit precision and can slow the reader. Build a reliable set of collocations for wildlife conservation and zoo management, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including clauses beginning with “which” and “because,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent, with errors appearing across the response. For example, “zoos shall remained open” has an incorrect verb form, while “all of them creates” has subject–verb disagreement. In “the rarest animals … is not valued,” the subject and verb do not agree, and several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, such as “Zoo is like an animal care centre.Animals…” Articles and plural forms also need attention. Practise checking one sentence at a time for subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries.
