Student answer (Band 5.5)

it is often argued tha zoos should be replenished, as there is not essential tohave more species of animals in the zoo. I firmly disagree with this view because wildlife parks are essential for educational and recreaional acrivities.

firstly, zoological gardens play an important role in historical prospects. In other word these places provide an opportunity to pupils learn about history of animals and other endagered species. If government banned the wildlife parks, studends will fail to learn about animal protection rights. for instance, developed countries like Australia always concentrstes to estalblish more areas for the growth of animals. Consequently children in australia have in-depth understanding about the nature and history of animals. Although nowdays due to advancement in the technology we no longer need to have animals kept in zoos, thier benifits encourage us to have these place in aundant quantity.

secondly, zoos provide places for recreational activities. Children in wildlife parks can spend their quality time with their family members, which helps them to reduc their stress level and give them a chance to enjoy a healthy life. furthermore, zoological gardens are considerd crutial especially for school children, where certain memorable moments could be captured to enahce the interest of students in their studies and other particular activites. For example, schools where every year a trip arranged for visit zoological gardens often have good strenth of students, compared to those who consider it time wsing activity. therfore, it is necessary to have more animals and number of zoos in every metropolitan area.

in conclusin, Although wildlife parks have some drawbacks, their advantages outweigh their disadvantages. so, it is essential to encourage these places for obtaining historical knowlede and gaining support in the education system.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you disagree with closing zoos, and the response gives two relevant reasons—education and recreation—before reaffirming the view in the conclusion. Examples such as school visits and children learning about animal protection help support these points. However, the educational argument is sometimes unclear: describing zoos as offering “historical prospects” and teaching the “history of animals” does not explain as directly how zoos educate visitors about conservation. The claim that schools with zoo trips have a “good strength of students” is also difficult to interpret and does not convincingly support the argument. Develop these ideas with clearer explanations and more relevant evidence, and address the opposing view more specifically rather than mentioning drawbacks only in the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “firstly,” “secondly,” and “in conclusion” make the progression easy to follow. However, some connections are mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is not always clear. For example, the sentence about Australia’s animal areas is followed by a claim about children’s understanding, but the link between these points needs explanation. The school-trip example also does not clearly demonstrate the preceding claim about recreation. Use referencing and transitions more precisely, and ensure each example directly supports the point in its paragraph. This would make the argument flow more naturally and reduce abrupt or unclear connections.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “endangered species,” “animal protection,” “recreational activities,” and “education system,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range and control of word choice are limited, and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Examples include “historical prospects,” “replenished,” “abundant quantity,” and “time wsing activity”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “recreaional,” “endagered,” and “conclusin” are also noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary for conservation, learning, and leisure would help you express your reasons clearly without relying on awkward phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional and relative structures, as in “If government banned the wildlife parks…” and “Children in wildlife parks can spend their quality time with their family members, which helps them…”. These attempts show some range, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms recur. For example, “there is not essential tohave” lacks a clear subject and uses an incorrect structure, while “where every year a trip arranged for visit” has problems with the passive verb form and clause construction. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and punctuation, such as “the government” being needed in context and inconsistent sentence-initial capitalization. Practise building accurate complex sentences and proofreading verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries.
