Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many people argue that they do not need to have animals kept in Zoos, and should close these place. I agree with this view because their place in wildlife not in cages and also they are crucial for the ecosystem.
One of the major reasons why should returne animals to their original life is that animals in zoos are not living their life properly mainly they stay in cages and their freedom is taken from them. As a result, retune them back to their home is better for them. For example, animals are not created to keep in cages rather than living independently in the world. This clearly shows that closing zoos and giving them their rights to live is one of the major reasons behind this decision.
Another main reason is that returning animals is a way to improve the ecosystem. This is due to the fact that animals are created to be close in nature because they play a major role in regulating the climate and the life their For instance, lion is the king of the forest, while keeeping it Zoos could let the forest without rules. This demonstrate that there are a strong relationship between nature and animals and each one contribute to the other.
In conclusion, i agree with this view mainly because animlas have the right to live freeling and also are an important element in nature.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you agree that zoos should close, and you give two relevant reasons—animals’ freedom and their role in nature. However, the response addresses the task only partially because both reasons remain general and are not convincingly explained. For example, the claim that animals regulate the climate needs a clearer link to why closing zoos would improve ecosystems; the lion example, that it might leave “the forest without rules,” is also difficult to understand. The conclusion restates your view but does not add support. The response is 17 words below the required minimum, so it does not meet the task’s length requirement. Develop each reason with a specific, accurate example and explain how it supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “One of the major reasons,” “Another main reason,” and “In conclusion” helps the reader follow this structure. However, connections within the paragraphs are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For instance, “As a result, retune them back to their home” does not clearly show how the preceding point leads to the proposed action, and the example about the lion is hard to connect to the claim about ecosystem regulation. Some references, including “their place” and “each one,” are also unclear. Use more precise links between claim, explanation, and example, and make pronoun references explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “freedom,” “cages,” “ecosystem,” “regulating the climate,” and “independently.” This gives the response a basic vocabulary for discussing animal welfare and nature. However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate or repeated expressions make meaning less clear. “Returne” and “retune” appear to be attempts at “return,” while “their original life” and “their home” are imprecise in this context. The phrase “let the forest without rules” does not communicate the intended idea, and “close in nature” is an unsuitable collocation. Build a more precise set of phrases for animal welfare and conservation, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a result phrase, “As a result.” However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, and articles occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “Many people argue that they do not need to have animals kept in Zoos, and should close these place” has an unclear subject and faulty agreement. In “there are a strong relationship,” the verb does not agree with the singular noun, and “each one contribute” also needs a singular verb. Practise building complete sentences with clear subjects and check articles, plurals, and subject–verb agreement.
