Student answer (Band 5.5)
Everything has its own beauty when they stay there where they belonge to as well as animals. It is often argued that animal should not kept in the zoo or not. I believed that every zoo should have to be closed and get access animals to go back to their teritory.
Firstly, for the balanced boidiversity in the nature animal have their rights to stay their home. Because without animal creature nature lost it balance. In addition, absences of creature in nature create a imbalanced practise among pray animals. For this reason, many animals facing extinction and majority of animal stayed in hunger for lack of life saving foods. Secondly, animals also have desire to get intimate with their partner for the purpose of breeding, while people catch ythem and caged them in zoo they lost their ability of breeding. For this reason, the number of animals has decreased accross the world, That give us hence that we should not be kept them in cage
Furthermore, for animal survival they always changes their habitate in every season. In winter, majority of them searching for a warmer place, while some of them choose more colder place for winter. When people kept them in zoo in extrem weather they face serious health problem which make them more voulnerable. Moreover, some animals need to go closer to anotheranimal for their survival. For instance, birds come to cows shoulder for food which can be found under the cows hair.
In conclusion, every animal should stay the place where they belong to, if we separate them from their habitate its bring serious difficulty in animal life and sometimes its lead them to extinction. So every zoos should be bann by government if we want save animal life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that zoos should close, and you give several relevant reasons, including animals’ need for natural habitats, breeding, and seasonal movement. The response therefore addresses the main question and supports its view with examples, such as birds feeding near cows. However, some claims are unclear or insufficiently explained. For example, the link between animals being kept in zoos and “the number of animals” decreasing across the world needs evidence or a clearer explanation. The point about predators and prey is also difficult to follow, and the seasonal-habitat argument would be stronger if you explained how zoos could or could not meet those needs. Develop each reason more precisely and acknowledge a relevant counterargument, such as conservation programmes in zoos.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a recognisable structure: an introduction states your view, body paragraphs present reasons, and the conclusion restates your position. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the overall progression. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The sentence beginning “Because without animal creature…” is a fragment, and the following explanation about extinction, hunger, and prey animals does not show clearly how the ideas relate. The reference in “That give us hence” is also difficult to interpret. Group related points more carefully, use pronouns with clear referents, and explain the link between each claim and its supporting example. This would make the argument flow more naturally.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “biodiversity,” “extinction,” “breeding,” and “habitat,” and you use some relevant expressions such as “life-saving foods.” However, inaccurate word choice, spelling, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “balanced boidiversity,” “intimate with their partner,” “extrem weather,” and “anotheranimal.” Some words are also repeated, particularly “animal” and “place,” while phrases such as “get access animals to go back” do not express your meaning naturally. Build a more reliable range of environmental and animal-welfare vocabulary, and check spelling and common word partnerships. More precise choices will help communicate your ideas without changing their intended meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “while,” “because,” and “if.” This gives the response some structural variety, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms are noticeable. For example, “animal should not kept” is missing an auxiliary and article, while “every zoo should have to be closed” uses an awkward verb pattern. Subject–verb agreement and plurals are also inconsistent in “nature lost it balance” and “every zoos should be bann.” The sentence beginning “Because without animal creature…” is incomplete, and punctuation around longer sentences sometimes obscures the relationships between ideas. Practise complete clause structures, verb forms, articles, and agreement, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
