Student answer (Band 6.0)
I disagree with the idea that all the zoos should be closed becaue they help indangered animals and protect them, Furthermore they also educate people about wildlife. Although some zoos do not provide suitabke living conditions, well managed zoos can benefit both animals and society.
On the one hand, zoo play an crucial role in protecting endangered species. Many people are at rist of extinction because of hunting and pollution and the distruction of natural habits. In the well- managed zoos, these animals recieve proper food and medication and protection. Some zoos also run breeding programs to increase the population of endagered species. For instance, animals that are becoming rare in the wild can be bred safely when the conditions allow them.
On the other hand, zoos provide educational opportunities for animals and adults. By observing animals closely, visitors can learn about their behaviour, diets and natural research. This experience can help society about the animals and how to feed them. Furthermore, zoos can support reaserch, which may help them to preserve wildlife and animal care and also conservation method.
However, keeping animals in small cages can cause stress and prevent them to behave naturally. For this reason , zoos should set standard for animals and strictly follow them. Goverments should regularly inspect these places and clsoe those that who are fail to provide basic facilities to the animals. Instead of closing zoo, authorities should encourage the devolpment of larger natural- looking zoos and also start online campaign for the animal lovers. As a result, zoos become the attraction of tourism also best spot for local individual.
All the all, i diagree that all zoos should be closed. Althought animal welfare must be pirority, responsible zoos can protect endagered species, support reaserch articles about the wild life to educate the world .Moreover, goverments should represent their zoo and welfare internationally, its is the best way to earn support from many wealthy campaighn

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you disagree with closing all zoos, while recognising that animal welfare matters. You address the main parts of the question with relevant points about endangered-species protection, breeding programmes, education, research and poor conditions. The example of breeding rare animals is relevant, but it remains general rather than showing how a programme has helped a species. The educational point is also less fully explained: the phrase about learning “natural research” is unclear, and the link between observing animals and conservation could be developed. To strengthen the response, explain one or two examples in more detail and make the case for keeping responsible zoos more precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction states your view, body paragraphs present benefits and concerns, and a conclusion restates your position. Paragraphing helps the reader follow the main stages of the argument, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “However,” and “For this reason” show the intended relationships between ideas. However, some links are mechanical or unclear. For example, “This experience can help society about the animals” does not clearly connect the observation point to its result, while the final paragraph shifts from zoo standards to tourism and international support without a smooth progression. Use clearer referencing and ensure each sentence develops the paragraph’s central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt relevant topic vocabulary, including “endangered species,” “breeding programs,” “animal welfare,” “conservation,” and “natural-looking zoos.” These choices show an adequate range for discussing the issue. However, spelling errors and imprecise word combinations are frequent enough to make some phrases difficult to understand, such as “natural research,” “reaserch articles about the wild life,” and “wealthy campaighn.” There are also inaccurate forms such as “at rist of extinction” and “distruction of natural habits.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases—for example, “conduct research,” “natural habitats,” and “raise public awareness.” This would make your ideas more precise and fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although some zoos do not provide suitable living conditions” and a conditional clause in “when the conditions allow them.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and agreement in “zoo play an crucial role,” the structure “prevent them to behave naturally,” and the unclear clause “those that who are fail.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly in the long final sentence, where several ideas run together. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, infinitive patterns such as “prevent them from behaving,” and breaking long sentences into controlled clauses.
