Student answer (Band 5.0)

Over the past decades wild animals are kept in a zoo to entertain humans disguise as protection. In the contemporary era, wild animals of diffirent species are captured and kept in a zoo for entertainment purposes.

On the one hand, execution of wild animals and hunting are now remain illegal in order to save the remaing creature before they become extinct. Furthermore, animals belongs to the forest and and are build to survive in the wilds as they are habitant to the wildlife. Removing of zoo will lead to the animals being in their own way of living and surving from dominents. For instants, wild animals are suppose to survive on their own which will benefits them in their hunting skills.

However, every country in the world consists of zoo and cages for those wild creatures which is leading those species to become more dependent and lack of hunting skills. Severall places without showing any mercy cut down the most important parts of the animals in order to stop them from scaiping frorm the zoo. It will eventually leads to extinction of some animals in the upcoming future.

First, those animals would lose the hope to ever be free cause of the bars and cages with the constant watch on them. Secondly, they would be entirely dependent as their hunting skills would gradually slows down. Finally, after a few decade they would start getting extinct and would disappear in the future.

Overally, I strongly agree to the statement on closing every zoo as it would benefits those wild creature to live how their life are meant to be.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear in the conclusion: you strongly agree that zoos should close, and the response stays focused on animals’ welfare and dependence on humans. You also give relevant reasons, including reduced hunting ability and the risk of animals being harmed when they escape. However, the task is only partly addressed because the reasons are asserted more than explained, and some claims are unclear or unsupported—for example, that closing zoos would let animals survive independently, without considering whether captive animals could adapt to the wild. The point about animals being mutilated to prevent escape also needs a specific explanation or example. Develop fewer ideas in more depth and acknowledge a relevant counterargument, such as zoos’ role in conservation, before explaining why it does not change your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable structure, with an introduction, contrasting body paragraphs, a sequence of reasons, and a concluding opinion. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “However,” and “Finally” help signal relationships between points. Nevertheless, progression is not consistently clear: the first body paragraph appears to support closing zoos, while “However” introduces another criticism of zoos without clearly developing a contrasting position. The separate “First, Secondly, Finally” paragraph repeats the earlier points about dependence and hunting rather than advancing the argument. Some references, such as “It” and “those species,” are also difficult to connect precisely to the preceding idea. Organise each paragraph around one distinct reason and use transitions to show how each reason supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “extinct,” “dependent,” “hunting skills,” and “species,” and some choices communicate the central ideas. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “execution of wild animals” does not clearly express the intended idea, while “animals are build to survive” and “survive from dominents” are not natural expressions. Spelling errors such as “diffirent,” “remaing,” and “Severall” are noticeable, and “Overally” is not the appropriate form for a concluding transition. Build a more precise vocabulary set for animal welfare and conservation, and check spelling and collocations so that your ideas are expressed clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “as” and “in order to,” but control is inconsistent. Frequent errors in verb forms and agreement appear in examples such as “animals belongs,” “are build,” “it will eventually leads,” and “their hunting skills would gradually slows down.” There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence construction, as in “after a few decade” and “wild animals are kept in a zoo to entertain humans disguise as protection.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning hard to interpret. Practise checking the subject and verb in each clause, and make sure modal verbs are followed by the base form (“would slow,” not “would slows”). Aim for accurate simple sentences before adding more complex structures.
