Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view in the conclusion: “we can keep animals in the zoos,” and both body paragraphs offer reasons, including research and employment. However, the response only partially addresses the exact question of whether zoos should be closed. The opening presents two sides without stating your own position, and the second paragraph focuses mainly on tourism and jobs rather than explaining why animals should remain in zoos or addressing animal welfare. The research point is relevant but needs a specific example and fuller explanation of how zoos support conservation or animal care. The response is also 36 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop and support your argument. State your position clearly from the introduction and extend each reason with relevant evidence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through your ideas. However, the overall progression is not fully clear because the first body paragraph discusses benefits of zoos, while the second also gives benefits, without explaining how the two points relate or developing a contrasting view. Several ideas are joined mechanically, and punctuation makes some boundaries unclear, as in “the lion it can help contribute in the economy.” The phrase “which will contribute to the unemployment” also disrupts the intended connection between employment and the economy. Use clearer sentence boundaries and organise the body around distinct reasons that directly support your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “habitat,” “behaviour,” “research,” “attraction,” and “employment,” so the reader can identify the general subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning unclear. For example, “good well” does not express a clear idea, “raise the tickets counter” is not a natural way to describe charging admission, and “contribute to the unemployment” appears to mean reducing unemployment. Spelling errors such as “benifits,” “goverments,” and “vacanccies” are also noticeable. Build a small set of accurate phrases for conservation, visitor income, and local jobs, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You use some basic sentence patterns and attempt longer structures with linking phrases such as “For instance,” “To clarify,” and “For example.” Nevertheless, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “it can also helps,” where the verb form does not agree with the modal, and “the animals … can be used for studies … and research purpose we will know,” where clauses are joined without a clear grammatical connection. Missing or inconsistent punctuation also obscures sentence boundaries. Practise forming complete sentences with one main idea, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and using full stops to separate explanations from examples. More accurate control of these patterns would make your argument easier to understand.
