Student answer (Band 5.5)
I completely disagree with this statement because we need to have animals kept in zoos because animals need a better place to live and if animals don't kept in zoo they harms the local people.
To commence with, there are many reasons. First of all, if animals don't kept in the zoo the animals don't have any shelter to live they just walk and run in jungles and in local residents this causes several problems like people are scared when they go outside. Secondly, zoo organize the every animals in different places so if zoo is closed all animals gathered in a jungles they fight with each other and they prey each other like lion prey the deer and they eat it it cause decline in the numbers of different animals for instance, it creates unstability in the jungle and wild life
Moreover, if someone want to see all the animals and explore the habitat of animals they need zoo to watch all animals in one place otherwise they don't see every animals in their lifetime so its the best place to explore every varities of animals and its the best source of making money for someone. For instance, influencers make video of all the animals and post it on social media and make some money.
In conclusion, I disagree with this statement because i don't see any merits of doing this if we don't kept animals in zoo it causes severals demerits like create unstability in wild life and they prey each other and fight with each other.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the opening and conclusion: you disagree with closing zoos. You give several relevant reasons, including public safety, animal management, opportunities to see wildlife, and income from social-media content. However, the response only partly develops the task: the claim that animals would lack shelter or gather and fight if zoos closed is asserted rather than explained, and it does not consider whether alternatives such as protected habitats could address these concerns. The point about influencers making money is less directly connected to why zoos should remain open for animals’ benefit. To strengthen the response, explain and support fewer arguments in more depth, using specific examples and making the link to your position explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “Moreover” help identify the sequence of points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several claims are joined together without clear explanation. For example, the discussion moves from animals entering local areas to fighting in jungles and declining animal numbers, without showing how these outcomes relate. Some linking is repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “if” and “each other,” and the conclusion largely repeats the same claims rather than drawing them together. Organise each paragraph around one main reason and use clearer links between its explanation and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “shelter,” “habitat,” “wildlife,” and “decline in the numbers.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, such as “animals,” “fight with each other,” and “best place.” Some choices are inaccurate or unclear, including “unstability” and “prey each other”; these make parts of the argument harder to understand. There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “varities” and “severals.” Build a more precise range for discussing conservation and public safety, and check collocations and spelling. For example, use “wildlife populations” rather than “numbers of different animals.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if animals don't kept in the zoo,” but control is limited and errors occur frequently. Verb forms are a particular difficulty: “don't kept” should be “aren’t kept,” and “if someone want” should be “if someone wants.” Agreement and sentence construction also need attention, as in “they harms the local people” and “zoo organize the every animals.” Several sentences run together, especially the sentence about lions preying on deer, which makes the relationships between ideas unclear. Practise accurate present-tense forms, subject–verb agreement, articles and plural nouns, then use full stops to separate complete ideas. More reliable sentence control will make your reasoning easier to follow.
