Student answer (Band 5.0)
Animals also have to leave in the jungle so it can be not kept in zoo but no longer need to have animals kept in zoo, so zoos should be closed, i partially diasagree with this statement and i explained this statement in this essay.
As some animals must have to be kept in zoo like dear, monkey etc beacuse they can not survive more in jungle. And in zoo the treatemnt of animals are taken also they provided food in time to time dailyroutine. Also, some students of vetionary students who pursuing, they can understand how to treat animals and how diffrent animals have their own system. Some animals can not survive in jungle and also in different weather conditions. They also not get water, food and shelter everytime so they might be not survived in jungle. Also the non vegetarian animals hunted the vegetarian animals, so they can not survive. By kept in zoo, also tourist can visited it. Understand and see the diffrent types of animals and thier colours. Also can understand the living condtions of them.
It also have some disadvatages like all the animals are must be free to live in jungle and live thier lives in big places. By kept them in prison, it not be good for them. Also they have that freedom from thier birth. However, vegetarian animals can not survive much because they might be hunted by non vegetarian animals like lion, tiger etc. So they must be taken care by organising some beneficial way for both.
I convluded that, the some of the animals can be kept in zoo which can not survive in jungle. But some of the animals must be allowed to free in jungle and must be take care of them in well orgnising
way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear, though qualified, response by saying you “partially disagree,” and you address both keeping some animals in zoos and allowing others to live freely. The points about animals needing care and zoos helping students learn are relevant, as is your concern that captivity restricts freedom. However, the position is not fully consistent: you say some animals cannot survive in the jungle, but also suggest that vegetarian animals should be free despite the danger of predators. These claims need explanation and support, ideally with a specific example. The discussion of tourism is also introduced but not developed. To strengthen the response, explain which animals genuinely need sanctuary and why, and make your final recommendation more precise. The eight words copied from the task prompt are not counted in the stated response length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
Your response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting zoos, a paragraph presenting disadvantages, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation, and words such as “However” signal a contrast. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because several different points are placed together without clear development. For example, animal survival, veterinary students, food and shelter, and tourism appear in one paragraph, while the relationship between predator risk and your position is unclear. Linking phrases such as “Also” are repeated, and some references, including “this statement” and “they,” are not always precise. Give each paragraph one main purpose, develop its ideas in a logical order, and use clearer links between claims and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “survive,” “shelter,” “freedom,” “treatment,” and “living conditions.” These words help communicate your main concerns about animal welfare. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to understand. Examples include “leave in the jungle,” “kept in prison,” and “beneficial way for both”; the intended ideas are understandable but not expressed naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “diasagree,” “treatemnt,” and “orgnising.” Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling carefully. Using accurate terms for animal care, captivity, and wildlife protection would make your argument clearer and more appropriate for an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a reason clause beginning “because.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “As some animals must have to be kept in zoo” is an incomplete clause, while “the treatment of animals are taken” has problems with sentence structure and subject–verb agreement. Other examples include “they also not get water” and “it not be good for them,” where auxiliary verbs are missing. Articles, plurals, and verb forms are also inconsistent. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and tense; this will make your meaning easier to follow.
