Student answer (Band 4.5)

Most people think about animals but some seen them as an adventuors way and some reminds that this is the attraction for childs, Zoo is a huge attraction for all children. they see many different type of birds with different colours also wild animals like lion, tiger and panther etc. On the one side, there is a positive way because animals live freely and attract each other easily but in zoo, there is no lot of space and they stayed and lived like a criminal in jail.the instructor of the zoo behaves very strickly with all the animals many of them remained hungry and occasionally, the zoo facilities did not provide anything to that animals. some instructors tried to teach them different steps for entertaing the children. Most of them, beat animals in other words, this is the wrost way to communicate with animals. On the downside, animals also have a full right to live freely not in cages or in room,

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You refer to relevant issues, including animals’ freedom, limited space in zoos, and possible mistreatment, so the response is connected to the question. However, the task asks whether you agree or disagree with closing zoos, and your position is not stated clearly or maintained: the opening focuses on zoos as attractions, while the final point says animals have a right to live freely. The discussion also stops before explaining whether these concerns mean all zoos should close or whether better-managed zoos could remain. The response is substantially below the required 250 words, leaving the reasons and examples very limited. State your view directly, then develop it with specific explanations and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response using contrasting points, such as “On the one side” and “On the downside,” and the reader can identify a general movement from zoos’ attraction to concerns about animal welfare. However, the ideas are not arranged into clear, developed paragraphs, and the contrast between the two sides is not explained. Several points are placed together in long stretches, while the final sentence is incomplete, so the response does not reach a clear conclusion. Connections between ideas are also sometimes unclear—for example, the claim that animals “attract each other easily” does not clearly support the point being made. Use separate paragraphs for your position, each main reason, and the conclusion, with linking phrases that show the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “cages,” “wild animals,” “facilities,” and “entertaining the children,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as animals being treated “like a criminal in jail.” However, the vocabulary is often basic or inaccurately chosen, and spelling errors such as “adventuors,” “strickly,” and “wrost” make the writing less clear. Some phrases are awkward or imprecise, including “the attraction for childs” and “teach them different steps.” Build a more accurate range of animal-welfare vocabulary and check word forms and spelling. For example, use “a popular attraction for children” and “train animals to perform tricks” where those meanings are intended.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, and some basic meaning is understandable. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, with frequent problems in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “some seen them” does not use the correct verb form, and “Zoo is a huge attraction for all children” needs an article before “zoo.” The sentence beginning “On the one side” runs several ideas together, making the relationships difficult to follow; the final clause, “animals also have a full right to live freely not in cages or in room,” is also incomplete in structure. Practise writing complete sentences with one main idea each, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation before submitting.
