Student answer (Band 5.0)
No, I don't agree with the view that even if we no longer need to have animals kept in zoos and that's only why zoos should be closed.
From my own perspective, I truly believe that zoo is a place from where one can get many information about animals like birds, deers, monkeys, crocodile and so on. One can see how they live, how they eat and how they survibe. By seeing this things, one can gather more knowledge compared to what they read on books. So, it's more convienent and easier to learn about them. Also, one can learn how should we behave with them. But, now, we no longer need to have animals kept in zoos. I think it's really for those animals who were kept in cases for too long.
But, only for this, I don't think that zoos should be closed. It helds memories of the animals who had been there for ages. Also, it's really important to go there sometimes to recall the experiences one had for the first time there. If one want to go back that timeline when he/she made memories with their family and friends, he/she can visit the zoo. It's also necessary for those who never got the opportunity to go to the zoo. He/she can guess how was it, how it looked like.
There was a time when I got an opportunity to visit the zoo with some of my friends in 2023. It was so amazing that I often want to go there with those friends. But it is a matter of sorrow that even if i want to, i can't. Because they are living so far away for me. So, if i want to remember those memories that I had with them, I can just go to the zoo. It will make me feel nostalgic.
So, for all this reasons, I don't think that zoos should be closed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear in the conclusion: you do not think zoos should close, and you give reasons related to learning about animals and personal memories. These are relevant to the question, but the response only partly addresses the central issue of whether society still needs zoos. The claim that zoos provide animal knowledge is introduced, yet you do not explain why this benefit requires animals to remain in zoos or address alternatives such as documentaries and wildlife sanctuaries. Much of the later discussion focuses on nostalgia and visiting with friends, which is personal but does not strongly support the broader argument. Develop two task-focused reasons with explanation and a relevant example to make your position more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a concluding statement, so the reader can identify its basic organisation. You also use linking expressions such as “Also,” “But,” and “So.” However, the overall progression is limited: the discussion moves from education to animal confinement, then to memories, without clearly connecting these points to the question of whether zoos should close. Repeated references to memories and visiting the zoo make the argument feel repetitive, and “But, only for this” does not clearly identify what “this” refers to. Use topic sentences that state each reason, then develop it in a logical sequence; clearer referencing and fewer repeated transitions would improve cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate basic ideas, including “animals,” “knowledge,” “experiences,” and “memories.” Some expressions, such as “feel nostalgic,” help convey your personal response. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which can make the reader pause. For example, “many information” is not a natural expression, and “kept in cases” does not clearly describe zoo enclosures. There are also spelling errors such as “survibe” and “convienent,” alongside repeated general words such as “really” and “important.” Build a more precise vocabulary for conservation, education and animal welfare, and check spelling and common word partnerships.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “if” and “because,” and the main meaning is usually understandable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles and verb forms. For instance, “zoo is a place from where one can get” needs a more accurate article and structure, while “It helds memories” has an incorrect verb form and unclear subject. In “If one want to go back,” the verb does not agree with its subject; “how should we behave” also uses question word order inside a statement. Practise accurate sentence patterns and review agreement, articles and embedded questions before attempting longer sentences.
