Student answer (Band 5.5)
We are no longer need to have animals kept in zoo, So zoos should be closed. From my perspectives, I strongly agreed with this statement zoos should be closed because the animals have to provide a freedom or natural environment or healthy activity that are not provided in the zoos.In addition, some animals feeling stress to captivity in the zoos or distrube mental health.
To begin with, some people argue that no need to have animals in zoos and animal should not kept in the zoo cages. Reasons behind that animals provide freedom to walk or find a suitable food, Elephant have a huge place to walk that are not available in the zoo.For instance, Lions and rihnos required a huge place to hunt a food that are not in zoo. Therefore, protecting animals in their natural habitats is a better way to ensure their well-being.
Moreover, modern technology to learn the wild life animals documentries or vlogs. I think government provide a saftey in forest and restricting the illegal hunting of poachers and safe the wild life animals. For instance, In South Africa government open a safari park that are built on forest and provided a healthy food to animals on daily basis and tourists watched it and observe them from short distance.Furthermore, government investing in the forest and protect the wildlife animals.
In conclusion, we have no longer need to have animals that are kept in the zoos,So zoos should be closed.I strongly agreed on them the governments should protect their habitats or wildlife.Furthermore, not kept in the zoos and provide freedom to walk and searching the food and restricting the illegal hunting.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you strongly support closing zoos, and you give relevant reasons, including animals’ need for space and the value of protecting them in natural habitats. The examples of elephants, lions and rhinos help illustrate the first reason, while your discussion of forest protection and illegal hunting adds a related point. However, the second body paragraph shifts between documentaries, government protection and a safari park, so the connection to why all zoos should close is not always fully explained. The safari-park example also needs clarification, since it may describe a different kind of facility rather than a natural habitat. Develop each reason more fully and explain how each example supports your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally progress from animal welfare to habitat protection. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical or the links between ideas are unclear. For example, “modern technology to learn the wild life animals documentries or vlogs” is followed by government action, without a clear explanation of how these points connect. Some references, such as “them” in the conclusion, are also unclear. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its supporting example explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “natural habitats,” “captivity,” “illegal hunting,” and “wildlife,” and you attempt to express ideas beyond very basic statements. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear. Examples include “provide a freedom,” “animals feeling stress to captivity,” “a suitable food,” and “safe the wild life animals.” Spelling errors such as “distrube,” “rihnos,” “saftey,” and “documentries” also weaken precision. Build a reliable set of phrases for animal welfare and conservation, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More accurate, natural combinations would make your argument easier to follow and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and examples introduced by “For instance.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “We are no longer need” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “Elephant have a huge place to walk that are not available” has problems with number and agreement. “I strongly agreed” also uses an unsuitable tense for stating your current opinion. Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. Practise accurate present-tense statements and build complex sentences one clause at a time, checking that subjects and verbs agree.
