Student answer (Band 5.0)

We no longer need to have animals kept in zoos, so zoos should be closed. I disagree with this statement because zoos are safe zone for animals who really lives . in this essay I will give some arguments in favour of my opinion.

on the one hand, A zoo is a place where people visited with their kids most of the time when they get free . For example, children learn from zoos and saw vareity of animal at zoos one main reason is to kept animals in zoos is animals feel safe in zoos , caretaker take them a lot with feeding food them time ot time As a result, people enjoy seeing animals in zoos when they get chance to see them.

on the other hand, animals kept in zoos for long time they get more in zoos day by day because animal also need a fresh environments and meeting their relatives. However alonness is a stress for them to become anxity than they lost their nature to hunting For example, animals who are hunter they enjoy hunting but when they live in zoos they cann't.

In my opinion , zoos is the best place to learn people from animals how they survive alone. and also give opportunities to see them in real life. The government make profit from zoos and spend money on animales

In conclusion, I think zoos is important place people who spend their free time in zoo However animals get proper treatment from zoo caretaker so that i dont think so zoos should be closed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

Your position is clear: you disagree with closing zoos, and you give relevant points about children learning from animals, animal care, and government income. However, the reasons are only partly developed, and some points are unclear or contradictory. For example, you say animals feel safe in zoos, then note that captivity can cause loneliness and prevent hunting, without explaining why the benefits outweigh these harms. The conclusion repeats your view but does not resolve this tension. The response also contains 247 words, so it is three words below the required minimum; the 15 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop one or two central arguments with clearer explanation and a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs, an opinion paragraph, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “on the one hand,” “on the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from family visits to children’s learning, animal safety, feeding, and visitors’ enjoyment without clearly connecting these points. The contrast between the two sides is also not resolved before the conclusion. Some transitions feel mechanical, and punctuation and spacing sometimes interrupt the flow. Group related ideas more carefully, use clear topic sentences, and explain how each example supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “caretaker,” “fresh environments,” “hunting,” and “proper treatment,” and the reader can generally identify your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand. For instance, “animals get more in zoos day by day” does not communicate a clear meaning, while “animals who are hunter” and “learn people from animals” are unnatural expressions. Errors such as “vareity,” “alonness,” and “anxity” also reduce clarity. Build a more precise vocabulary for animal welfare and conservation, and check spelling and common word combinations. Prefer accurate, straightforward phrasing over expressions whose meaning is uncertain.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a result clause beginning “As a result” and a contrast introduced by “However.” Nevertheless, grammatical errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to interpret. Examples include “zoos are safe zone,” “animals who really lives,” “A zoo is a place where people visited,” and “zoos is important place”; these show problems with articles, agreement, and verb forms. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the opening where a full stop separates “lives” from “in this essay.” Work on accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent tense, then punctuate complete sentences clearly. Shorter, carefully checked sentences will help make your meaning more reliable.
