Student answer (Band 5.0)

Zoo plays a vital role in any society. Basically zoo is build for many critical condtion for instance, Entertainment purpose, investment and social activities.

On the hand, if zoo will remain close then it will impact negatively to economy. Through zoo citizen have opportunity to earn well. Initially zoos were build for business purposes however, now this will become a important and crucial part of a society. Those specific animlas which are in zoos, we can't find them on streets or in residential areas. People explores more regarding different species of animals in more convienent way. Families have emtional attachment with zoos, as they visit the zoo with their entire families and they spend good quality of time together. Educational institutions plays a major role in zoos growth for insatnce, Schools plan their yearly picnic in different types of zoos.

On the other hand, zoos treat wild animals in worst condtion. Animals has to face serious types of diseases becouse of: shortage of foods, weekly health check ups for animals, allowing visitors to give them junks foods and keeping sensitive animals in small cages. for instance, Dolphines require sea to live but in Karachi zoo, Dolphine are kept in huge water tank. Becouse of this, dolphine face different type of diseases.

I completely disagree with this statement, as zoos is the part of society. Although, Its Government and zoos staff responsibilty to look after each and every species of animals.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall disagreement and offer relevant reasons, including employment and family visits, educational trips, and concerns about animal welfare. The example of dolphins kept in a tank in Karachi helps make the welfare point more specific. However, the response only partially develops the task: the benefits are listed rather than explained in depth, and the final claim that zoos are part of society does not fully answer why they should remain open despite the problems described. The position also feels less consistent because the animal-welfare paragraph supports the opposing view without a clear response to it. The response is 10 words below the required minimum. Develop each main reason with explanation and evidence, and directly address the strongest counterargument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly separate benefits from concerns. This gives the reader some organisation. However, the progression within paragraphs is often list-like: economic effects, learning about species, family visits, and school picnics appear without clear links showing how they support the central argument. The connectors “On the hand” and “On the other hand” are used inaccurately or repetitively, and the conclusion introduces responsibility for animal care without clearly connecting it to the preceding points. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main claim, then develop it in a logical sequence with clear referencing and transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, such as “species,” “emotional attachment,” “health check ups,” and “sensitive animals.” These choices show an effort to discuss both social benefits and animal welfare. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to read, including “critical condtion,” “convienent way,” “junks foods,” and “Dolphines.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “zoos growth” and “earn well” in this context. Aim for accurate topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe zoos as providing “educational opportunities” or say that animals “receive veterinary care,” rather than relying on broad or awkward phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and some attempts at longer structures, including “Although, Its Government and zoos staff responsibilty to look after each and every species of animals.” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “Zoo plays” and “zoo is build,” “if zoo will remain close,” and “Animals has to face.” The final sentence is also incomplete as written because it lacks a main verb after “Although.” Practise forming complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and use subordinate clauses only when you can connect them correctly. Proofread punctuation and sentence boundaries as well.
