Student answer (Band 5.0)
Animals has become an important part of society.I disagree that we no longer need to have animals kept in zoos.
To begin with, Animals are the most important part of life. Animals in the zoos are good, if zoos worker take proper care of them, feed them very well.
Zoos are important to give knowledge to childrens. Childrens can see animals in the zoos in real life, and understand them accurately. Without seeing you didn't know anything accurately. Like I said you didn't know about anything accurately till you see it, parents want to take their childrens to the zoos to tell them about animals.Children explore about animals, and get better information than just reading books.
Moreover, Zoos are important in the society. On the other hand if we understand that everyone have their independent life which God gave to every specie on the earth, animals also have their independent life. Zoos are important and beneficial for society but as i sad other perspective is not good for animals lives. So in my perspective zoos are important and should not be closed but in zoos worker keep take proper care, and feed them as the animals need. For example: I visited zoos first time when i was 7 years old and i understand about many animals. and after seeing them in real life my perspective about some animals shoul be changed.
In conclusion, zoos are important and i disagree that we no longer need to have animals kept in zoos, so zoos should be closed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you disagree with closing zoos, and you give relevant reasons, especially children learning about animals and your own visit at age seven. However, the response addresses the issue only partially: the claim that zoos provide knowledge is repeated rather than developed with specific explanation, and the concern that animals have an independent life is introduced but not resolved with a clear argument about how zoos can protect their welfare. The response also contains 229 words, so it is 21 words below the required minimum; the 25 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop both sides of your reasoning and add a specific example or explanation to meet the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help show the intended structure. However, progression within paragraphs is limited: the idea that children learn by seeing animals is repeated in “Without seeing you didn't know anything accurately” and “till you see it,” rather than extended. The paragraph beginning “Moreover” shifts between the social value of zoos and animals’ independence, so the relationship between these points is not always clear. Some linking phrases, including “On the other hand,” do not clearly signal the contrast that follows. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain it, and use references and transitions that make the connection between ideas explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “zoos,” “animals,” “proper care,” “independent life” and “beneficial for society.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “important,” “accurately” and “animals.” Some choices are imprecise or unnatural, such as “Zoos are important to give knowledge” and “Children explore about animals,” which make parts of the argument less clear. There are also spelling and word-form errors, for example “shoul” and “specie.” Build a more varied set of precise expressions for education and animal welfare, and check spelling and natural word combinations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, including conditional phrasing in “if zoos worker take proper care of them” and a contrast in “Zoos are important … but ….” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “Animals has become,” “everyone have,” and “zoos worker take,” where subject–verb agreement is faulty, as well as “parents want to take their childrens,” which has an incorrect plural form. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “society.I disagree” and the run-on sequence beginning “Zoos are important and beneficial.” Practise accurate agreement and sentence boundaries, then check each longer sentence for a clear grammatical structure.
