Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some peole belives that zoo is a important part of society for education and fun factor. And i am completly dissagree with view of all zoo should be closed.I believe that well managed zoos play an important role in protecting wildlife and educating people.
Firstly, Zoo helps to protect endangerd species of animal. Many animal are in dangered beacuse of hunting, pollution and the major part of land expandation cause destruction of thier natural habitat.Zoo provides all type of necessary thing which is important to animals. Some zoo also run breeding program to increase the population of species.for example zoo protect some rare animals such as tigers and pandas.
Secondly, the zoos are useful for education purpose People, especially children, can learn about different animals and understand the importance of protecting nature. And looking animal closely incourage the intrest in wildlife. moreover, zoo also do some research on animal to understand the behaviour of animals, imporve wildlife protection.
In conclusion, I disagree that all zoos should be closed. In my opinion, responsible zoos are important for wildlife conservation and education, provided that animals are treated well and their needs are respected.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you disagree with closing all zoos, and you give two relevant reasons—wildlife conservation and education. Examples such as breeding programmes and children learning about animals help support these points. However, the response addresses the task only partially because the ideas are brief and mostly asserted rather than explained. For instance, you mention that zoos protect endangered species but do not explain how successful conservation or breeding efforts work, and the educational benefit is not illustrated with a specific example. The conclusion adds the condition that animals must be treated well, but this concern is not developed in the body. The response is also 65 words below the required minimum. Develop each reason with explanation and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the main ideas are generally grouped appropriately. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, links within paragraphs are sometimes abrupt: the education paragraph moves from children’s learning to research without explaining the connection, while the conservation paragraph lists threats and zoo support without a clear step-by-step relationship. Some punctuation and spacing also make transitions less smooth. Use linking phrases to show cause and result, and develop each paragraph around one clearly connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “endangered species,” “natural habitat,” “breeding program,” “wildlife conservation,” and “behaviour.” These choices show an attempt to discuss the subject specifically, and the main message remains understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, such as “peole,” “completly,” “dissagree,” “endangerd,” and “intrest.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, including “all type of necessary thing” and “land expandation.” These errors reduce accuracy and polish, even though they do not prevent the reader from understanding your central points. Build a reliable set of topic collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “essential resources” and “expansion of human settlements.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You communicate your main ideas using simple sentences and some attempts at more complex structures, such as “Many animals are in danger because of hunting, pollution and the major part of land expansion causes destruction of their natural habitat.” However, grammatical control is uneven. Errors include subject–verb agreement (“Zoo helps”), articles and number (“a important part,” “Many animal”), and sentence boundaries, as in “useful for education purpose People…” The final sentence of the second body paragraph also lacks a clear grammatical structure. Most sentences follow basic patterns, so there is limited variety, and these errors sometimes make the reader pause. Practise accurate plural and article use, and combine ideas with controlled clauses—for example, explain that habitat loss puts species at risk and that breeding programmes can help increase their populations.
