Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is argued that zoos should be banned and we should not kept animals in zoo but i am totally disagree with this because zoos are the center of entertainment and it is also helpful for educational purposes.

i am not agree with closing of zoos because it provide a lot of information about animals and students visit to the zoos and then see the many animals for the very first time but if zoos will close and no animal will keep in the zoo then children cant see the animals.

Zoos are also a habitat for many endangered animals .it provide protection to many animals meanwhile if zoos will banned then where all these animals will go.Thats why i am totally disagreed with the closing of zoos.

Nowadays, many animals are kept in the zoo for their protection , safety and for educational purposes .In my opinion when i was a child in our hometown there was no zoo and on mountains there was baby of sheep whic was very beautiful but due to lack of any safety after months it died because there was no one to take care of this baby .In conclusion along with educational purposes it is also a source of habitat and a shelter where there are care taker who take care of their food, health and other massive issues that are related to their birth ets .Thats why i am disagree with the closuing of zoo.It must be opendthat people visit it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you disagree with closing zoos, and you give relevant reasons involving education, protection and shelter. The example about the sheep also attempts to support your point with personal experience. However, the response addresses the task only partially because these ideas are mostly asserted rather than explained. For instance, you say zoos provide “a lot of information” and protect endangered animals, but do not explain how zoos achieve these aims or give a specific example. The sheep story is difficult to connect to zoos, since it concerns an animal outside a zoo. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation and a directly relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation: you state your opinion at the beginning, present reasons in the following paragraphs, and finish with a conclusion. The reader can generally follow the central argument. However, progression is limited because the same points—education, protection and shelter—are repeated without being developed in a clear sequence. Linking expressions such as “Thats why” recur, while “meanwhile” does not clearly show the relationship between the ideas it joins. Several sentences run together, particularly the final paragraph, making the connections harder to follow. Use separate paragraphs for distinct reasons, and organise each around a topic sentence followed by explanation and an example. More precise referencing and a wider range of accurate links would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the basic argument, including “endangered animals,” “educational purposes,” “protection” and “shelter.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repetitive or imprecise, such as “a lot of information,” “massive issues” and “source of habitat.” Some word choices and collocations make the meaning less natural: “center of entertainment” is not an effective description of a zoo’s role, and “care taker” is not the usual form for the people who look after animals. Spelling errors such as “whic,” “closuing” and “opend” are also noticeable. Aim for precise topic vocabulary and check spelling; for example, explain conservation and animal welfare using accurate terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses beginning with “because” and “when,” but the range is limited and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors occur frequently in verb forms and agreement: “we should not kept” should be “we should not keep,” and “it provide” should be “it provides.” Other examples include “i am totally disagree” and “if zoos will close,” which need different verb patterns. Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries also need attention; for example, “in zoo” and the run-on construction “where all these animals will go.Thats why” reduce accuracy and readability. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and a correctly formed supporting clause, then check punctuation and capitalisation.
