Student answer (Band 6.0)
Man through the ages has been gone through many stages when he depicted a herd of mammoths on the walls of his caves to the life when he started keeping even dangerous and terrifying endangered species of many animals with the assistance of zoos in the specific areas of certain cities.
Here, I will elaborate and defend my point of disscussion with few concepts. As I said, zoos are built to save to certain species of animals. The major aim behind the building and maintainance of zoos is to save that kinds of animals and birds which are going to be extinct in near future. This is the only best way of saving an endangered specie to keep it in zoo and look after them.
By this way, we can save numerous near to extinct community of animals for years on earth. In zoos, caretaker officers of that zoo care them, feed the food which is better for their health and make them able to breed. So that they can enhance their creed. For example, today species of amur leopards, black rhinos and cheetahs are critically at high extinction and their main causes of exticntion includes overhunting, poaching, habitat destruction which is mainly due to deforestation.
On the other hand, zoos are also a significant part of entertainment i.e; social as well as academic. Nowadays, dozens of people visit zoos on daily basis. Sometimes, families go their for enjoyment but probably many institutes arrange their academic trips to zoos for educational as well as fun purposes to develop a little bit of alternation in thier daily routines.
In conclusion, I would always prefer zoos in every age as it provides us a lot of ways to learn and explore new things. Moreover, it is absolutely an exquisite way to defend endangered species.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you support keeping zoos, arguing that they protect endangered species and provide educational and recreational value. These points address the question, and the examples of Amur leopards, black rhinos and cheetahs make the conservation argument relevant. The response also recognises more than one reason for your view. However, the discussion of entertainment and school visits is less fully explained, and the conservation claim that zoos are “the only best way” is asserted rather than supported or qualified. To strengthen the response, explain how captive breeding or education helps address the threats you identify, and briefly acknowledge the opposing view—for example, concerns about animal welfare—before explaining why it does not change your position. This would develop the ideas more fully and precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. The progression from conservation to education and entertainment is understandable, and phrases such as “On the other hand” signal a shift. However, that phrase suggests a contrast, while the second body paragraph adds another supporting reason. Some linking is also mechanical, as in “Here, I will elaborate” and “By this way,” and the opening sentence is difficult to follow, which weakens the transition into your argument. Organise each paragraph around one clear claim, then connect the explanation and example directly. More precise referencing and transitions would make the progression smoother and reduce the sense of a list of points.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “endangered species,” “habitat destruction,” “deforestation,” and “critically,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also some less common choices, such as “exquisite,” though it does not fit naturally in the conclusion. At times, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling make the meaning less clear: “enhance their creed” appears to mean increase their numbers through breeding, while “near to extinct community” is not a natural way to describe species. Spelling errors such as “disscussion,” “maintainance” and “exticntion” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural combinations rather than ornate wording, and check spelling carefully. This will make your vocabulary more precise and reliable.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both longer sentences and simpler statements, and the main position is generally understandable. However, control of sentence structure and basic forms is inconsistent, and several errors make the opening and some explanations harder to read. For example, “Man through the ages has been gone through” combines incompatible verb forms; “which are going to be extinct” has an awkward construction; and “caretaker officers of that zoo care them” is missing a grammatical pattern needed after “care.” The opening sentence also contains several ideas joined together without clear structure. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking verb forms, articles, agreement and punctuation. Greater accuracy across the sentence range would make your argument easier to follow.
