Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a relevant, clear position—“i disagree with this idea”—and give one reason: zoos let people learn about animals when they cannot visit a safari. This shows an attempt to answer the question, but the response addresses it only partially. The reason is not explained or supported with a specific example, and there is no discussion of other possible benefits, such as conservation, or of the argument for closing zoos. The unfinished ending (“but with taking care of them”) also leaves your point unclear. The response is below the required 250 words, which limits how fully you can develop your position. To improve, explain two reasons, support each with an example, and conclude by restating your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a basic progression from introducing the topic to stating your disagreement and giving a reason. The contrast marker “but” also signals a relationship between ideas. However, the response is not organised into clear paragraphs, and the opening sentence is difficult to follow because several thoughts are joined together. Punctuation and spacing, including the repeated dots and letters at the end, interrupt the flow and make the final idea impossible to interpret. The reference in “with taking care of them” is also unclear. Use a short introduction, separate body paragraphs for your reasons, and a conclusion. Connect each point with clear links such as “One reason is…” and “For example…” rather than leaving ideas unfinished.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “animals,” “zoos,” “safari,” and “discover,” so the reader can identify the general subject and your main reason. However, the range is narrow and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “we don't leave alone” and “see animals in their nature.” “Aportunity” is also misspelled, and the repeated letters and punctuation at the end do not communicate meaning. These choices sometimes make your ideas harder to understand. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases—for example, “observe wildlife,” “natural habitat,” and “protect endangered species”—and check spelling and collocations. This will help you express your ideas more precisely without relying on repeated general words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and a longer sentence explaining that not everyone can visit a safari, which shows some effort to connect ideas. However, control is inconsistent. For example, “there is some of people that says” has problems with agreement and sentence structure, while “we no longer needed to have animals kept in zoos” uses an unsuitable verb form. The opening also contains sentence fragments and unclear clause boundaries, and punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent. These errors make parts of the response difficult to follow, although the central opinion remains understandable. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and verb forms. Then use a few accurate complex sentences to explain and support each reason.
