Student answer (Band 6.0)
Zoo holds a fundamental importance in a society. Many people argue that the zoos should be shut down as they keep animals in cage. I disagree with this view as zoos provide animals with great care and it also generates revenue by attracting tourists.

answer + explanation + example
On the one hand, animals have every right to live freely in jungles but somehow, many get attacked by a predators or hunters. However zoo is the place where the managment keep animals with great care and provide them with food and shelter. For example, in Pakistan, diversity of birds are kept inside a large net area where workers feed them everyday. Similarly, a rare spicie of cheetah can be seen in larhore zoo where the managment built a similar habitat to the jungle so the cheetah can adapt quickly.
On the other hand , zoos play a key role in societies, people visit the place for entertainment purposes. sometimes many tourists from all around the world visits zoo which in turn produces revenue for the country such as by paying tickets to enter the zoo or to consume electric vehicle for roaming around while viewing all the animals. For instance, a safari park is quite famous to visit. It has a entry fee and to view the park you can book an ev service. The vehicle also goes inside the area full of cheetahs or deers for fuller expeience.
In conclusion, if animals are kept safe and sound then there is no need to close down the zoos as it serve the purpose of entertainment as well as provide economical contribution towards the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you disagree with closing zoos, and the conclusion restates this view. You give two relevant reasons—animal care and tourism revenue—and support them with examples involving birds, a cheetah, and a safari park. This addresses the task, but the case for keeping zoos is not developed equally fully: the examples describe particular facilities without explaining how they demonstrate that zoos generally provide suitable care or why this outweighs concerns about captivity. The tourism point is also asserted more than explored. To strengthen the response, acknowledge the welfare concern in the prompt and explain what standards or conservation benefits make responsible zoos necessary.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting points, and a conclusion. “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument, and the examples generally follow the claims they support. However, the standalone note “structure / answer + explanation + example” interrupts the essay and should be removed. Some links are mechanical, and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear—for example, the shift from tourists visiting for entertainment to revenue for the country could be explained more directly. Improve progression by making each paragraph’s main claim explicit, then connecting its explanation and example with clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a suitable range of topic vocabulary, including “predators,” “shelter,” “habitat,” “revenue,” and “entertainment purposes,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “diversity of birds” and “economical contribution,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural. “Economical contribution” would be better expressed as “economic contribution,” while “a rare spicie” appears to mean “a rare species.” Other spelling errors include “managment,” “larhore,” and “expeience.” These slips do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and polish. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations, such as “generate revenue” and “provide adequate care.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “as,” “where,” and “which in turn,” and your meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, agreement, and plural forms. For example, “a predators” should be “predators” or “a predator,” and “many tourists … visits” should be “many tourists … visit.” In “a entry fee,” the article should be “an,” while “it serve the purpose” needs “it serves the purpose.” Sentence boundaries and capitalization also need attention, as in “sometimes many tourists,” which should begin with a capital letter. Review subject–verb agreement and articles, then proofread each sentence.
