Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a position on the topic, but it is not consistent: the opening says you believe zoos should no longer keep animals, while the conclusion says, “I am dis agree this statment,” which suggests the opposite. The reasons are relevant—animals belong in forests, and keeping dangerous animals can pose risks—but they are mostly asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example. The paragraph about children enjoying zoo visits also does not clearly support your stated position. The response contains 192 words, so it is 58 words below the required minimum; this limits the space available to develop your reasons and address the question fully. Make your view consistent and explain each reason with a clear example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “To conclusion” show an attempt to organise ideas. However, progression within the paragraphs is difficult to follow because points are repeated rather than developed. For example, the second body paragraph repeats that children feel happy seeing animals in real life, without explaining how this relates to whether zoos should close. The opening and conclusion also appear to give conflicting positions, weakening the overall line of argument. Use each paragraph to develop one distinct reason, connect supporting details to that reason, and use clear references so readers can follow how each point supports your view.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
You use basic vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “animals,” “zoos,” “forests,” and “children,” so the general subject is usually identifiable. However, the range is narrow and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “animals feel happy” and “children feel happy.” There are also spelling and word-choice problems, such as “belivies,” “dangerious,” “favirote,” and “prospected,” which make parts of the response harder to understand. Some combinations are unnatural, including “animals life is a happy” and “saying a favirote animals.” Build a small set of accurate topic phrases and use them to express more precise ideas, such as animal welfare, natural habitats, and conservation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
Most sentences use simple patterns, and the reader can understand some basic claims, such as “Animals live in forests.” However, control of sentence structure and basic grammar is inconsistent. Examples include “Many peoples belivies,” “Animals life is a happy,” and “Animals feels happy,” where agreement, sentence construction, or article use is faulty. The sentence “I am dis agree this statment” is also difficult to interpret grammatically. Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention, as in “When children saying animals in real life .The children feeling is very good.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, especially subject–verb agreement and articles, then combine related ideas using clear conjunctions.
