The tabular representation articulates the information about the alterations made in the households categories in Great Britain between 1971 and 2007.

It can be clearly seen that in the year 1971 the percentage for underaged children was 52 and it followed a declining trend till the last given year by reaching up to 36%. On the contrary, single person preference followed an inclining trend starting from 6% to 12% in 2007. There were no changes in the one family households and couples.
Probing further, people with no children were 19% in 1971 and it increased by 2% in 1991 and then remained same for the last seven years which was 25% .Moving to non-dependent children, the figure dropped marginally as it was 16% in the first given year and 9% in 2007. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response covers the main features of the data and makes relevant comparisons. You have identified the key trends, such as the decline in households with dependent children and the rise in single-person households. However, the overview is slightly weak; stating that the 'highest number of individual preferred dependent children housing' is somewhat unclear and grammatically awkward. Additionally, the claim that there were 'no changes in the one family households and couples' is factually incorrect based on the provided data, which shows fluctuations. To improve, ensure your overview clearly highlights the most significant trends and double-check your data interpretation to ensure accuracy.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the contrary', 'Probing further', and 'Moving to', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly unnatural in context. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the link between the overview and the body paragraphs could be smoother. Ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus to improve the overall flow of the report.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'tabular representation', 'declining trend', and 'marginally'. However, there are some word choice errors and awkward phrasings, such as 'individual preferred dependent children housing' and 'underaged children'. Some phrasing is repetitive, and the use of 'vivid' to describe the data is not standard academic colocation. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise terminology and ensuring that your word choices are natural and appropriate for a formal report.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'the lone parents household were' (subject-verb agreement), 'remained same' (missing article), and 'reaching to' (incorrect preposition). There are also issues with punctuation and article usage throughout the text. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles to improve your accuracy.
