The table below shows the change in some household types in Great Britain from 1971 to 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The image illustrates that people in households by type of household and family. Firstly, the table has different categories such as household types ( one person, one-family households, couple, no children, dependent children, non-dependent children, lone parent ), and percentages ( 0% to 52% ), as basically year also can be seen like 1971, 1981, 1991, 2001, 2007.

However, there are two household types, that is one-family households and couple, which doesn't hold and percentages in any year. Furthermore, it can be observed that maximum value was in dependent children with 52% in 1971, as well as minimum proporation was in lone parent with 4% in 1971. In addition to this, no children has same proporation in 2001 and 2007 with 25%. Moreover, most least value only was in lone parent with 4%, 6%, 10%, 12%, 12%, and the highest was dependent children with 52%, 47%, 41%, 39%, 36% that in continuous manner of year.

Overall, the image provide information on people in households by type of household and family.
