Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response covers the main features of the data, but the presentation is inconsistent. While you identify key trends, the reporting of data is often inaccurate or confusing. For example, you mention 'no any data is given' for certain categories, which is not an effective way to report findings. The overview is present but lacks clarity, as it struggles to synthesize the information effectively. To improve, focus on grouping data logically rather than listing every figure, and ensure that the summary highlights the most significant trends rather than just repeating individual data points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear logical structure. Paragraphing is absent or poorly managed, and the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or incorrect (e.g., 'Afterthat', 'Moving further ahead', 'Not only but also'). The flow between sentences is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of ideas. To improve, use clear topic sentences for each paragraph and employ a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'consequently', 'furthermore') to connect your ideas more naturally and logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic structures to describe trends. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'rised to' (should be 'rose to') and 'it luicid that' (likely meaning 'it is lucid that'). The use of 'department' to describe household types is inappropriate in this context. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise vocabulary for describing trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a significant increase', and ensure accurate word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with verb tenses (e.g., 'it was grow', 'it was grew'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence construction. Punctuation is also problematic, with erratic spacing and misuse of commas. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence structures, ensuring correct subject-verb agreement, and practicing the past simple tense for reporting historical data.
