The table below shows the change in some household types in Great Britain from 1971 to 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The table demonstrates the change in some household types in Great Britain From 1971 to 2007. The proportion of one person household is slightly increased over the time however it was same from 2001 to 2007. Same goes with the no children household which proportion is increased from 1971 to 1981 but it was comparatively low

then one person household. In 1991 it proportion increased however from 2001 to 2007 the proportion remained same. Dependent children households proportions is bigger than any other household in table. But it it is the only one household that gradually decreased with the time . Non-dependent children household does not increased in the first decade however there was a minor increase in second decade. Then it decreased in 2001 but remained same in 2007. Lone parent household are the last on table with the lowest proportion however it was increased in 1981 then again increased in 1991 nevertheless it was remained same from 2001 to 2007
