Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5

The response attempts to cover the main trends in the table, noting changes such as the rise in one-person households, single parents, and couple households without children, alongside the decline in households with dependent children. However, the interpretation of several data points is flawed and confusing (e.g., stating that 'One-family households and couple both were at zero from strating to till ending'). The overview sentence at the beginning is overly simplistic. While some main features are reported, the lack of precision and inaccurate descriptions of certain categories pull the task achievement score down into the lower range.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The text is divided into two paragraphs, but the second paragraph is a single, extremely long, and run-on sentence that crams multiple ideas together without clear internal structuring. Cohesive devices are used in a rudimentary or repetitive manner (e.g., 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', 'Lastly'). Progression is difficult to follow because relationships between ideas are muddled by grammatical errors and poor punctuation. Paragraphing is insufficient given that the introduction and body are inadequately separated.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

Vocabulary usage is basic, repetitive, and frequently unnatural or inappropriate for an Academic task. Examples include phrases like 'domestic places', 'strating to till ending', 'typing of housing', 'reversed root', 'epic rose up', and 'upto thrice'. Spelling and word formation errors are frequent ('steadly', 'prefered', 'raise' instead of 'raising'). The range of vocabulary is limited and inadequate to convey precise statistical information.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

Grammatical control is weak throughout the response. The text is plagued by severe structural errors, run-on sentences, and comma splices, particularly in the second paragraph. There are numerous tense and agreement issues (e.g., 'parent who raise', 'numbers were stable... to fall', 'has grown rapidly... indicates'). Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost invariably faulty. Frequent errors cause significant strain and confusion for the reader.
