The table below shows the change in some household types in Great Britain from 1971 to 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The table illustrates the variation in some househod types in Great Britan (one person, one family households, no chidren , couples, dependence children, non dependence children and lone parents) in Great Britain over the 36-years from 1971 to 2007.

Overall, it is clear that people in households by type of household and family had variations. Dependent children accounted to the largest proportions in earlier year. In contrast, Couple showed omitted proportions throughout the period while lone parents experienced slight increased before remained stable end of the period.

Regarding the dependent children of Great Britain is experienced the largest proportions, approximately 52% in 1971, dependent of children showed decreased at about 47% in 1981, and 36% in 2007 at the end of the period.

Looking at the lone parents, this figure experienced smallest proportion 4% in 1971, this proportion increased slightly and reached 6% in 1981.The proportion remained stable to about 12% between 2001 to 2007.
