The table below shows the change in some household types in Great Britain from 1971 to 2007.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The illustrated table depicts the information of changes in some household types in the Great Britain in 1971 to 2007. Respectively, the households are One person, one-family household (couple, no children dependent children and non- dependent) and lone parent.

Overall, most of the caterories experienced increase percentage, while major change was noticed in the households of one person and the lone parent which dramatically rose. In contrast, the household of one-family (dependent children) accounted for decreased percentage .

In 1971, the households which were consisted of one person and lone parent were at 6% and 4%, respectively, and both sharply increased to 12% in 2007. Moreover, one of the category of one-family households (no-children) moderately increased to 25% in 2007.

On the other hand, in one-family households the category of dependent children proprotion fell to 36% in 2007.Meanwhile, the non-dependent children faced a slight change of 1% only in 2007.
