Student answer (Band 5.0)
The table represents the some changes in great bretain house holds from the year 1971 to 2007.
First it shows the one person in houlehold coloum with the percentages in different years comparatively it is increased by the year 2007 than the year 1971. Then No children type is also increased over the years from 1971 to 2007 also it is constant from 2001 to 2007 similarly one person type .
Coming to the next type that is dependent children it is 52 percent in the year 1971 later it was gradually increased to 47,41 and 39 in the years 1981, 1991, and 2001 then it slightly decreased to 36 percent by the year 2007.the household type non-dependent children percentage was almost similar from the year 1971 to 2007 with slight changes in percentages like increase and decrease of 1% .
Lone parent type household increased from 4 to 12 percent by 2001 and it stayed constant untill 2007 .The other houselod are one _family household and couple which percentages are not mentioned
At last we can say that most of the household perecentages are mostly increased by passing the years and some of them changed slightly with no much difference.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify several relevant trends, including the rise in one-person households from 6% to 12%, the increase in couples without children from 19% to 25%, and the decline in households with dependent children from 52% to 36%. However, the response only partially summarises the table: it gives no clear overview of the main pattern, and the final claim that “most” household percentages increased is too broad, since dependent-child households fell substantially. The statement that “one_family household and couple” percentages are not mentioned is also inaccurate; the table provides figures for these categories. To strengthen the report, give a concise overview of the largest increases and decreases, then select key figures to support it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response follows a basic sequence through the household categories, and phrases such as “Coming to the next type” and “At last” signal movement between points. However, the progression is not consistently clear: there is no distinct overview, and the final sentence repeats a general trend rather than drawing the main comparisons together. Some links are awkward or mechanical, particularly “Then No children type is also increased… also it is constant,” where the relationship between the rise and the later plateau is unclear. Organise the report into a brief introduction, an overview, and paragraphs grouping the main increases and decreases. Use linking expressions to show contrast and comparison, rather than relying mainly on “then” and “coming to”.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “percentages,” “increased,” “decreased,” and “constant,” so the reader can generally identify the trends being described. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “one person in houlehold coloum,” “most of the household perecentages,” and “changed slightly with no much difference.” Spelling errors, including “bretain,” “houlehold,” and “perecentages,” also make the writing less clear. Aim for accurate category names and more precise trend language, such as “the proportion of one-person households” and “remained stable.” Avoid describing a category as “increased” when you mean its percentage rose, and use “household types” rather than vague references to “the other houselod.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response communicates several basic comparisons, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and attempts to combine multiple ideas often produce faulty sentences. For example, “Then No children type is also increased over the years… also it is constant” has an incorrect verb form and unclear sentence structure. In “it was gradually increased to 47,41 and 39,” the passive construction is unsuitable, while “it stayed constant untill 2007” lacks consistent punctuation and sentence boundaries. Articles and plural forms are also unreliable, as in “the one person in houlehold” and “most of the household perecentages.” Use straightforward, complete sentences with accurate past-tense verbs, and check articles, agreement, commas, and full stops. A few well-controlled comparisons would be clearer than long sentences joined loosely with “then” and “also.”
