The table illustrate the change in various household types in great Britain from 1971 to 2007.

There are two types of household we will discuss here .one person increase only double while one family have different sectors and lone parent increase thrice.

In the given table , one person household increases approximately double from 1971 to 1991 and in the same time span in one-family household with no children and non- dependant children rise very slightly. In case of loan parent it increases approximately double.

Now we can say that from the time period of 1991 to 2007, Great Britain household type of one person remain approximately same.On the other hand with one -family household types whose with dependant children increases. In loan parent household it is also not increase that much.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You identify the period and mention several relevant household categories, including one-person households, couples without children, and lone-parent households. However, key trends are misreported: dependent-child households fell from 52% to 36%, rather than increased after 1991, and lone-parent households rose from 4% to 12% overall, not merely doubled. The overview is also unclear and does not highlight the main contrast between the decline in dependent-child households and growth in several other types. The response contains 122 words, below the required 150, which limits the detail available. To improve, give a clear overview and support it with accurate comparisons across the full period.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic sequence: an introduction, comments on earlier years, and a final comparison of 1991 and 2007. This gives the reader some sense of progression. However, the organisation is difficult to follow because the overview is mixed with details, and the comparisons do not consistently cover the same categories or time spans. For example, “one person increase only double” is followed by a discussion of changes from 1971 to 1991, then the final paragraph shifts to 1991–2007 without clearly linking the two. Connect ideas with clearer comparisons and use separate paragraphs for the overview and supporting details. Some linking phrases, such as “On the other hand,” do not introduce a clear contrast.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-relevant terms, including “household,” “dependent children,” and “lone parent,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, vocabulary is limited and several choices are inaccurate or awkward, which makes the trends harder to understand. “Increase only double” is not a natural way to describe a change, while “not increase that much” is vague and does not report the figures precisely. There are also spelling or form errors in “loan parent” and “dependant.” Use standard chart language such as “rose from,” “remained stable,” and “declined,” and choose precise terms such as “percentage” or “proportion” when describing the data.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including “In the given table, one person household increases approximately double from 1971 to 1991.” The main meaning can often be inferred, but errors in agreement, articles, tense, and sentence construction occur throughout. For example, “The table illustrate” needs subject–verb agreement, and “one person household increases” needs an article and a suitable past-tense verb. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, as in “here .one person” and “table ,”. Practise forming accurate comparison sentences in the past tense, such as “The proportion of one-person households rose from 6% in 1971 to 12% in 2001.” Aim for clear, controlled sentences before adding complexity.
