Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify several important trends: the share of one-person households rises from 6% to 12%, lone-parent households triple from 4% to 12%, and households with dependent children decline from 52% to 36%. However, the overview is unclear and partly inaccurate: “Couple choosed to reduce their dependency on children” does not accurately describe the table, which reports household categories rather than a choice or cause. The account of non-dependent children is unfinished, and the increase in couples with no children is mentioned without figures. To make the response more complete, give a clear overview of the main rises and fall, and report the final values for the remaining categories.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to details about household types. Some sequencing is helpful, particularly the chronological account of one-person households and the decline in dependent-child households. However, progression is weakened by unclear links and an abrupt ending: “Before climbed to” leaves the final point incomplete. Connectors such as “Similarly,” “However,” and “Nonetheless” are used, but some do not clearly express the relationship between the data. The overview also combines unrelated trends in a confusing sentence. Organise the details into clear groups of rising and falling categories, and ensure each paragraph develops a complete point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for describing data, including “increased,” “rose,” “fell,” and “steadily,” so the main trends can often be understood. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, making parts difficult to interpret. For example, “Couple choosed to reduce their dependency on children” suggests a deliberate decision not shown by the table, while “with dependency factor” is an unclear substitute for “with dependent children.” “3x compare to” and “reached twice as it was started” are also awkward ways to express comparisons. Use precise category labels from the table and practise standard phrases such as “rose to,” “fell by,” and “three times the initial figure.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “However” and a relative clause in “which shows the timespan of 36 years.” However, errors occur frequently and sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Examples include “percentage of one person is 6,” “Couple with no childrens were increase steadily,” and “Non-dependent children were went down.” These show problems with articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. Capitalisation after commas is also inconsistent, as in “6, Which then increased.” Build accuracy with straightforward patterns such as “The percentage of one-person households rose from 6% to 12%,” then add more complex structures once these are secure.
