Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You include figures for all five years and each household category, and most of the values match the table. However, the response mainly lists data rather than selecting and summarising the key features. The overview is unclear: “there are noticeable differences” and “some categories show some fluctuations” do not identify the main pattern. In particular, the substantial fall in households with dependent children, from 52% to 36%, should be highlighted, alongside the rises in one-person and lone-parent households and the increase in couples without children. The claim that “there is no stability in all the activities” is inaccurate, since several categories remain unchanged between 2001 and 2007. A clearer overview and more meaningful comparisons are needed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, an attempted overview, and paragraphs covering the earlier and later years. This gives the reader some organisation, and phrases such as “According to the chart” and “Furthermore” signal transitions. However, progression is often difficult to follow because the body paragraphs reproduce each year’s figures in long, list-like sentences rather than grouping related trends. Expressions such as “the first main activity 1971” and “the increase of household family net ten year” do not clearly connect the information. The final sentence also conflicts with the data and does not provide a useful conclusion. Grouping rising categories together and contrasting them with the declining dependent-children category would create a clearer line of progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant terms, including “household,” “categories,” “percentages,” “increase,” and “decrement,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, vocabulary is limited and several choices or combinations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to understand. For example, “first main activity” and “second activity” are unsuitable for describing years in a table, while “the increase of household family net ten year” is not a clear expression. There are also spelling errors, including “diffrences,” “shownin,” and “remaning.” Aim for precise, conventional language for describing data, such as “rose,” “fell,” “remained stable,” and “accounted for,” and check spelling before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts some longer sentences and uses basic linking structures, but grammatical control is inconsistent. Many sentences lack a clear subject or verb, as in “Overall, it can that there are noticeable diffrences,” and “the first main activity 1971 in the average one person 6%.” The sentence beginning “The followed by second activity 1981” also has an incomplete structure, while the final claim, “there is no stability in all the activities,” shows problems with both sentence construction and meaning. Articles, prepositions, and punctuation are also handled inconsistently, and spaces appear before punctuation. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use a consistent past-tense reporting pattern, for example: “The proportion of one-person households rose from 6% in 1971 to 12% in 2001.”
