Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You identify the topic and state a position in the final sentence: “i aggreed with this statement,” so the reader can see that you broadly agree. However, the response does not develop this position or give reasons, explanations, or examples about how tourism harms local cultures or the environment. The opening mentions tourism’s impact on the economy and culture, but does not explain those effects or address the task’s claim that damage is often ignored. The response is also substantially below the required 250 words, leaving the task only minimally addressed. To improve, explain at least two relevant effects, support them with specific examples, and make clear whether you agree fully or partly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a basic overall shape: it introduces tourism and then gives a position. This provides a starting point for organising an essay, but there is no developed progression from the introduction to supporting points or a conclusion. The sentence beginning “People hold different opinions” repeats the idea that tourism has impacts without showing how the argument will proceed. There are also unclear links in “regarding his matter on this matter,” which makes the relationship between ideas difficult to follow. Use separate paragraphs for your position and each supporting reason, and connect them with clear transitions such as “First” and “Furthermore.”

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “tourism,” “economy,” “culture,” and “environment,” so the subject is recognisable. However, the range is very limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce clarity: “todays,” “word,” “envoirnment,” and “aggreed.” The phrase “the one of the fastest growing industry” is also not a natural way to express the idea. Since the response offers no developed examples, it does not demonstrate a broader range of vocabulary for discussing cultural or environmental impacts. Build a topic vocabulary set—for example, “heritage,” “ecosystem,” and “local customs”—and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both a longer opening sentence and a statement of opinion, but sentence structures remain limited and control is inconsistent. In “tourism has become the one of the fastest growing industry,” the article pattern and singular/plural agreement are faulty. The sentence “People hold different opinions regarding his matter on this matter” contains unclear reference and repetition, while “i aggreed with this statement that to damage the tourism can cause damage” has an awkward clause structure that obscures the intended meaning. Capitalisation and spacing around punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add clear subordinate clauses, such as “I agree because tourism can disrupt local customs and damage natural habitats.”
