Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the world, tourism is one of the quickest and spreading contributions which directly benefits to country economy. While the over-tourism can effect on the local community and also on environment. I partially agree with this view, tourist can cause most difficulties for local culture and effect their environment as well because local individuals are welcome to tourists and keeping take care of them.

To began with the statement I partially agree with this because the way persons are welcome and provide all the require instruments they has need. I think they locals are one of the most supportive for them because they help them in every difficult situation such as if their vehicle are face some issue in the engine they make sure to repair in the better way. For instance, before 3 years ago me and my family was planed to went swat which is located in northerner side of Pakistan. The people are more friendly and welcoming and in a local bazar of Swat our vehicle are suddenly stopped, as a result numerous citizens were around us and help with our car and sit for drives.

In addition, the local cultures and the natural world may not effected because their locals are protect the tourists. Although they are the true protector of the travelers, they might face any type problems regarding stay like tourists season due to over tourisms, and the hotels they rooms are all most full and in this situation nearby provide them space for the staying so this is the biggest help and care where regional give me.

In conclusion, I to some extent with the view effecting tourism may cause local society and the ecosystem because they people are more to traveler and make sure to take care of them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a position—“I partially agree”—and give a personal example from Swat, which makes the response relevant to the topic. However, the argument does not fully address the central concern: how tourism damages local cultures and the environment. Most of the essay describes residents helping visitors with a vehicle or accommodation, rather than explaining whether tourism causes cultural or environmental harm. The claim that local people protect tourists does not establish that tourism has no damaging effects, and the conclusion repeats this unclear reasoning. To strengthen the response, discuss specific impacts, such as waste, pressure on natural sites, or changes to local customs, then explain how these support your degree of agreement. Develop the example so it directly illustrates your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “In addition,” and “In conclusion” show an attempt to organise ideas. However, progression is difficult to follow because the paragraphs do not consistently develop the question’s focus. The first body paragraph shifts from welcoming visitors to a vehicle repair anecdote, while the second moves from protecting tourists to hotel availability; the links to cultural and environmental damage remain unclear. Some references, including “they,” “them,” and “this,” have uncertain antecedents, making relationships between ideas harder to track. Give each body paragraph one clear point about tourism’s effects, and use linking phrases to show cause, contrast, or example rather than relying mainly on sequence markers.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “over-tourism,” “local cultures,” “environment,” “tourists,” and “ecosystem,” and the Swat example adds some specific language. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to interpret, such as “quickest and spreading contributions,” “benefits to country economy,” and “the true protector of the travelers.” Repetition of “help,” “care,” and “tourists” also limits precision. Aim to use familiar words accurately before reaching for more elaborate expressions, and choose vocabulary that describes impacts directly. For example, distinguish between economic benefits and environmental costs, and use precise terms for effects on residents, traditions, and natural areas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional example beginning “if their vehicle…” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction frequently make the message difficult to follow. Examples include “tourism … benefits to country economy,” “the way persons are welcome,” and “the hotels they rooms are all most full.” The opening also contains a sentence fragment beginning “While,” and the conclusion’s structure, “I to some extent with the view,” is incomplete. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “although,” and “if.” Check tense and agreement, especially when describing past events.
