Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is believed that tourism is repadily growing industries and contributes to foster nations' economies around the world. However, the damage tourism can cause to local cultures and the environment is often ignored. I entirely disagree with this perspective; in my opinion, governments should protect local cultural and sustaniable tourism should decline environmental pollution.
To begin with, it is irrefutable that tourism boosts countries' economies as well as generates job opportunities. However, it can damage local heritage and environment too, that's way authorities have to take care about local cultures and surroundings, they can generate revenue from visitors and invest in restoring heritage sites and make strict laws for tourism. It is a pragmatic way to preserve local cultural identity. As a result, tourism become way to preserve cultural identity instead of damage it. For instance, Indian government restores and maintains famous heritage sites such as the Taj Mahal and Red Fort, these places attraact millions of tourists. Therefore, it is evident that this view is inapproproate.
Furthermore, it is undeniable that sustainable tourism is the first priority for nations because natural attractions is essential to attract tourists. Places such as clean beaches, forests, and wildlife attract more visitors and generate revenue. Therefore, authoritis and tourism operators create waste management system, especially on beaches and coastline. For example, in India, many beaches in Goa restrections on single use plastics and organize campaigns about cline drive, it helps to reduce pollution and protect ecosystems. Thus, it is clear that this notion remains uncertain.
To conclude, it is evident that the demage tourism are not ignored, as governments actively preserve cultural heritage and promote sustainable tourism to protect the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that tourism damage is ignored. You provide relevant examples, such as the Taj Mahal and waste management in Goa, to support your arguments. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that governments can protect heritage, the explanation of how sustainable tourism specifically 'declines' pollution is a bit vague. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting points are fully explained rather than just stated. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'Therefore' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by grammatical errors, such as 'that's way' (which should be 'that is why'). The referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother to improve the overall progression of your argument. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different aspects of the topic.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'pragmatic', 'heritage sites', and 'sustainable tourism'. However, there are several spelling errors ('repadily', 'sustaniable', 'inapproproate', 'attraact', 'authoritis', 'restrections', 'cline', 'demage') and some awkward word choices, such as 'declines environmental pollution' (where 'mitigates' or 'reduces' would be more precise). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a wider variety of precise collocations to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully use some complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('natural attractions is', 'tourism become', 'demage tourism are') and punctuation errors. Some sentences are run-on or lack necessary articles. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the essay. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles, as these are recurring issues that affect the accuracy of your writing.
