Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the economic benefits and the negative impacts of tourism. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you present a clear position, the arguments are somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about 'devotees' spreading pollution is a bit vague, and the examples provided (such as 'a data was conduct') lack the necessary detail to fully support your claims. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more thorough explanation and a concrete, well-developed example to illustrate your points, rather than listing ideas briefly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as the use of 'their' in 'tourist damage their culture', where the antecedent is not immediately obvious. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring clearer pronoun references would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'growing very fast' and 'make a source of economy'. There are also some awkward word choices, such as using 'devotees' to refer to tourists and 'Substainely' (likely meaning 'subsequently' or 'substantially'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to the topic of tourism and environmental impact, while ensuring correct word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity, such as 'some individuals thinks', 'by provide proper facility', and 'a data was conduct'. Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency would be a significant step forward.
