Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is undeniable that Tourism is one of the fastest growing industry and contributor greater deal to economies all around the world. In this regards, tourist can cause damage to local culture and environment that is often ignored. I agree upto some extent with this notion due to several reasons that will be outlined in the forthcoming fragments with a logical conclusion.
To commence with, there are several points to agree with the former statement. First and foremost is source of employment for Individuals. To justify it, when people from other nation come to visit any country there are in need of a tour guide which would help them to visit the places without any difficulties. That result as source of income for some people. Secondly, promote culture of a country. To examplify this, where foreigners visit India they try to copy the traditional dressing style of India and also prefer to give importanu to nations culture when they go back to their native place this helps to promote culture. However, there is advantage to industries as the visitors advice their knowns to visit the specific areas as they got their best experience after visiting. This also result in profit for the companies as well as for the economy.
However, there are few pointe that are against this statement that cause pollution. To eloberate it, when people visit from different areas they just focus on travelling they do not take care about cleanliness of the area where they visit, which result in land pollution. It should be their responsibility to keep it clean.
To conclude, although there are several points that agree with the notion such as employment, promote culture, yet the disadvantages can not be neglected at any cost.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by acknowledging both the economic benefits and the negative impacts of tourism. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument regarding cultural promotion is somewhat superficial, and the point about environmental damage is brief and lacks specific examples or depth. While a position is clear, the supporting arguments are under-developed, and the conclusion is quite abrupt. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples to support your claims, ensuring that both sides of the argument are explored with equal depth.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'To commence with' and 'To justify it'. Some transitions between sentences feel forced, and the logical flow within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed. For instance, the transition from discussing employment to cultural promotion within the same paragraph lacks a smooth connection. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words and ensuring each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea will significantly improve your coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'contributor greater deal' instead of 'contributes a great deal' and 'importanu' (spelling error). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic terms like 'good' or 'bad' concepts without using more sophisticated collocations or topic-specific terminology. To improve, focus on learning word families and common collocations related to tourism and economics, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tourist can cause'), article usage (e.g., 'the environment'), and incorrect word forms (e.g., 'visitors advice their knowns'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading your work to catch basic errors in tense, pluralisation, and prepositions, and try to incorporate more complex sentence structures with greater accuracy.
