Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people around the world believe that tourism is one of the fastest increasing industries and contributes a great deal to economic around the world. In this essay, I will discuss views and present my opinion.
To begin with, tourism is one of the most important role into worldwide. This is because tourist visit own country their will be increase current expense to own country, many people get job vancany, tourist learn our cultures and they were advertised our country into their place. In addition to this, we should treat them respectful and help them to visit our different places such as museums, heritages, shows different cultural program, parks, and so on. For example, toursim is great things that people get relax and learn new different things as gaining new different places.
However, there will be lack of pollution and population crowd. This is because tourism can cause our local cultures as people are copying foreign culture wearning western dress and showup such like western which impacts our cultural. Moreover, tourist make noise and environment pollution due to huge people. Furthermore, toursit are seeing our old heritage and copying that can effect our country due to copying our national items, so, some secret won't show up into museum because we don't know which toursits are bad guys.
In my opinion, there are some better advantages more than disadvantages. In conclusion, tourist is our god which will make our country famous and we will earn many cost that will provide develop to own country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the economic benefits and the negative impacts of tourism. However, the development of ideas is limited. For instance, the argument regarding cultural erosion is mentioned but lacks specific, well-explained examples, relying instead on vague statements like 'people are copying foreign culture'. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments are often repetitive or lack depth. To improve, you should focus on expanding each point with a concrete example or a more detailed explanation of the causal link between tourism and the specific cultural or environmental damage mentioned.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To begin with' and 'In addition to this'. Some transitions are confusing, for example, 'However, there will be lack of pollution', which contradicts the intended point about environmental damage. Referencing is also problematic; the use of 'they' and 'that' is frequently unclear, making it difficult to identify exactly what is being referred to. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and collocation. For example, 'economic around the world' should be 'the global economy', and 'tourist is our god' is an inappropriate and confusing metaphor. There are also issues with word forms, such as 'wearning' instead of 'wearing' and 'toursim' instead of 'tourism'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of precision and the frequent misuse of basic terms prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on learning collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('tourist visit own country'), incorrect article usage, and awkward phrasing ('there will be lack of pollution'). Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, leading to confusion in meaning. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring that subjects and verbs agree. Reducing the number of errors in simple sentences is a priority before attempting more complex structures.
