In the modern era, the tourism industry increase significantly which also contributes a economic and infrastructure improvement across the world. I strongly agree with this statement.
One the one hand, increasing tourist act as catalyst roles for countries cause it allows economic improvement and create new job market, although it has some drawbacks. But enhancing jobs opportunities far more advantages living peacefully. When tourist spends money at a hotel, that money dose not disappear the hotel pays its staff and other sectors so the cycle contributes residents life style. Moreover, tourist can lead a growth of investment and funding as well as it can decline bridge in the gap between international understanding and wars. For instance, Japan, Spain and Maldives provides several tourists attraction which helping their economic development also create good relationship around the world.
Conversely, Overwhelmingly increasing tourism can create devastation situation for environment because wasting products and need to use over transportation during peak season, which also soar carbon emission. In addition, undoubtedly climate changing and losing their own culture identity for that residents often feel unknown in their country by over tourism. For example, in Japan people nowadays prepare to wear suits rather than their traditional costume and most of time following western fashion.
From my perspective, tourism assist develop of economic even improvement of education, hospital and transportation system allows convenient and well-begin life style. For that, some government often ignoring this kind of issue because they receiving more benefits, but right implement by government and society overcoming this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that acknowledges both the economic benefits and the negative impacts of tourism. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of job creation and cultural erosion. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding Japan and cultural identity is a good start but lacks depth. The essay would benefit from more detailed explanations of how exactly tourism causes these issues rather than just stating them. The position is consistent throughout, but the conclusion is slightly weak, as it introduces the 'double-edged sword' concept without fully synthesizing the previous arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In the modern era', 'On the one hand', and 'Conversely', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'But enhancing jobs opportunities far more advantages living peacefully'. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is interrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the progression of ideas feel slightly disjointed at times. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'catalyst roles', 'devastation situation', and 'double sowed of edge' (likely meant 'double-edged sword'). While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'carbon emission' and 'infrastructure', the overall range is limited. Some phrases are repetitive, and the misuse of certain words occasionally hinders the clarity of the argument. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on using more natural collocations and precise academic terminology.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tourism industry increase', 'tourist spends'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'tourism assist develop of economic'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors require the reader to work harder to understand the intended message. A greater focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and sentence construction is necessary to improve this score.
