Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt, but the position is inconsistent. You state 'I partially agree or disagree', which is confusing; a clear, single stance is required for a higher band. While you provide reasons for both sides, the development is limited. For example, the claim that '90% of growth of economy depend on tourism' lacks context and feels like an unsupported generalization. The conclusion is also weak, as it does not restate your position or summarize your main arguments effectively. To improve, ensure your stance is clear from the introduction and that each body paragraph provides specific, logical support for that stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To commence with' and 'Agglutinating the aforementioned arguments' feel forced or unnatural. The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'On the other paradoxical side'. While there is a logical flow between paragraphs, the internal cohesion within sentences is frequently disrupted by grammatical errors, making the text feel disjointed at times. Improving the variety and naturalness of linking words will help the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent errors in word choice and collocation. For instance, 'boast of economies' should be 'boost economies', and 'people sentiments' should be 'people's sentiments'. You attempt some less common vocabulary, such as 'contemporary era' and 'elucidate', but these are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that feels unnatural. There are also spelling errors like 'shoping' and 'stract'. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word choices are precise and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but grammatical errors are frequent and occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'tourism as are inclined', 'it cause heavy traffic') and article usage. Sentence construction is often awkward, such as 'there are myriad of reasons that why tourism helps'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence structures before attempting more complex ones.
